I just started playing again Friday. I love TIE Defenders, so I plan on playing them in my all of my main lists. Since I own a Force Awakens core set, I decided I would give my First Order TIE fighters a go and see what happened.

-Ion cannon

Veteran Instincts

TIE Interceptor

-Carnor Jax

-Push The Limit

-Mk. 2 Engines

-Royal Guard TIE

2x TIE/fo Epsilon Squadron Pilot

I had a blast playing this list, and I would like to know what do you guys think of it, and do you see a way to cut points for comm relays on TIE/fos or a HLC on Vessery? This is important in case I play in a tournament before veterans is released and can't use the title.

The only other list I've played was a defender/firespray. I don't plan on buying anything else right now, my last two purchases before Imperial Veterans will be another Defender and maybe a shuttle. Lastly, does anyone have a suggestion for a double interceptor list with the things I have (Defender, TFA core set, Imperial Aces, and Slave-1)?

I like that list you posted a lot! Carnor is one of my favorite pilots, and he and Vessery will make targeting choices difficult for your opponent. I wouldn't drop anything to make room for Comm Relay.

If you play in a tournament before Imperial Veterans I would fly Vessery cannon-less. Take outmaneuver or lone wolf as your ept, and have an initiative bid for Carnor.

you can dump both Epsilons for Omega leader with Juke and Comms relay.

Or you could dump Jax for Omega Leader w/ Juke & comm relay. That would make room for the HLC on Vessery:

Vess w/ HLC, veteran instincts & TIE mk 2 = 44

Omega Leader w/ Juke & comm relay = 26

2 epsilons = 30

OL is also better than the eppies at getting a first turn TL for Vessery's benefit (and omega leader's). Hmm, I might just run this myself...

If I pick up a TIE/fo expansion I will have to try this.

I like the defender too and have a list with Vessery + 3 tie/Fo's, I can highly reccomend the Omega leader (He is good on his own, comboing with Vessery is Icing) and Epsilon Ace (PS 12 to ensure an early lock on even the most skillful aces).
