I can see Lando coming as "general of the rebellion". Maybe in a Sullust (massing at Sullust and subsequent battle there after Endor. However, they need scout troopers on more than Ewebs and Rebel heavy troopers with rockets would be awesome.
Next Wave prediction
While I'd love to see a bit more love for Scum, as a Skirmish player, a Death Star expansion would be really awesome too.
Bantha rider my man! With the CCs and beast tamer, Scum beast lists are a cool new force.
Well, if they do anything Force Unleashed related, they had rancors all over the **** place.
Oh god, please no Starkiller...
Oh god, please no Starkiller...
No, I'm not endorsing having Starkiller in the game, lol. I'm talking about referencing events and locations. Could you imagine having Starkiller as an enemy unit?
"Special Action: 100 points of damage, divided over any number of units, blow the bloody chunks out the airlock"
My best guess is we'll get a mini expansion (Twin Suns-ish) then a full expansion (Return to Hoth-ish). For mini expansions, I could see:
- "Escape from Could City" with Lando and Bespin troopers.
OR
- "Shadows of the Empire" with Xizor and Black Sun Mercs (This would be a great way to give the Scum faction a boost)
For the next full expansion, it would make sense if it was Endor-focused. We'll get Jedi Luke, Emperor, Scout Troopers, and Ewoks. I would, however, like to see an Imperial players' Campaign or Dark Trooper Campaign.

Why would the Emperor be on Endor?

Just cuz. Why would he be on Endor in the new Battlefront game, lol?
Edit: On second thought, probably be better in a villain pack.
Edited by Gunner070Please don't compare IA to Battlefront.
IA has tries to have a story. Battlefront doesn't.

Don't worry, I'm just making jokes, lol.

That's is, beyond a doubt, the most beautiful thing I have seen in a long time, and that's saying something. I midwifed a unicorn last week.
Dash might still be cannon, since he doesnt contradict the current cannon, Thrawn still has a possibility since he might appear uin shattered empire and if he doesnt, well he lives in the spirit of Hux wo is an awesome characther
I hope for a dark trooper campaign.
Thrawn [...] lives in the spirit of Hux wo is an awesome characther
Other than the fact that they're both military officers, Thrawn and Hux have literally nothing in common.
I like the idea of a Yavin 4 small box expansion. Thematically, you could have Imperial troops going over what's left after the Rebels evacuated their base, and you could have the heroes going in covertly to retrieve some kind of Force MacGuffin from the Massassi ruins for Luke Skywalker. You could reuse most of the forest and tunnel tiles from the core set and add some new stuff - a large clearing, a big ruined ceremonial chamber etc. The command cards, agendas and possibly the class deck might revolve around the Force and Force Users, that would be a cool way to beef up that theme in the game.
In terms of figures, you could do:
- ISB agents (guys investigating the base) or Inquisitor trainees to go with the Force User emphasis (though that might be stretching things thematically)
- Either some kind of native Yavin fauna for Mercenaries, or possibly something actually fun and useful like Zabrak Treasure Hunters or something (as an aside, I'd like FFG to go away from just dumping random local fauna into the Mercenary sack and calling it done, I'd like to see more, you know, actual mercenaries).
- A second force-sensitive hero (a human male, no lightsaber and more of a support/buff role, possibly a 'token distributor' mechanic)
- A Sullustian hero (after Wookies, MonCal and Bothans those are the last of the main alien species traditionally aligned with the Rebels, ie. mentioned/shown in the movies), maybe with a field engineer/demolitions theme
For figure packs, I could see:
- An Imperial Inquisitor as the villain for the mini-campaign, to go with the Force theme
- Bossk (because whatever the theme and narrative and actual need, FFG seems set on giving us one of the ESB bounty hunters per box)
No idea on the named Rebel ally. With Leia we have all the big names in place sans Lando, but I'm having a hard time fitting him with the theme. If you want to go all EU/Legends, Kyle Katarn would be a good fit thematically.
Other than that, I'd like to see an entirely Mercenary focused expansion. As in, the heroes going against a crime syndicate instead of the Imps. Unfortunately I don't see that ever happening, for a variety of reasons regarding the patterns set in the releases so far. But one can dream I guess.
Any idea when the next wave(s) will be announced?
Since the game was released there have always been many future releases on the horizon. Now, there's only the smuggler and Bantha.

Twin shadows was announced mid march after a Xmas release of the core game. So I'd expect a similar time for the next announcement.
looks like we get a small box in time for gem con and then a large box in time for the holiday season.
I expect a small skirmish wave each spring and fall.
I'm guessing bantha and smuggler are the spring wave.

Shattered empire was a 4 issue miniseries.
No thrawn in sight.

I watched TFA a second time, and I actually loved it the second time. But, I have to say that I think a Thrawn character would be better because he was DIFFERENT. All tactics changed and his dealing with his own people changed. While I loved TFA, it is once again the same sort of thing.
Lets face it, if Hollywood did Thrawn/MaraJade/etc. they'd ruin them.

Wow, I can't even get *that bleak. I will say it would take an entirely different production studio to do it right, one more geared to adult films.

Well, it might not be the Thrawn/MaraJade were used to, but ill take what I can get ![]()
I think we'll get an Imperial Officer pack in the next "skirmish wave". It'll be an alternate pose and come with the new FAQed Skirmish card and some new ISB mission for Campaign play.
