Empire at War

I love this game and still play the heck out of it whenever I'm waiting at the airport or am taking the train. Adding in the Zann Consortium was kind of wonky since it did a lot of stuff that ignored the balance rules of the original game, but I got my TIE Defenders and Dark Troopers out of it so I was happy.

Big question to anybody who knew anything about the game: Why wasn't Leia in it? She would have been perfect to use as a super commando in place of Kyle Katarn and she could have had some kind of special ability to subvert hostile locals to your side.

Anybody know why one of the most iconic characters in Star Wars wasn't included in a major game release?

I've asked myself the same question several times, but I never really looked into it. It is a fun game, though. Definitely one of my favorite Star Wars games.

I always thought that since they kept Obi-Wan into the Endor period of the open game that maybe there was a hiccup in history and Leia tried to go all Uma Thurmon on Vader in the first Death Star while Kenobi and the others got onto the Falcon.

Go to steam forums, there are tons of mods: Leia, B-Wings, assault frigate mk 1, Luke pilot who drops into planets as Luke Jedi. All kinds of fan mods that really extend the life of the game.

I would actually like to see a 4 way between Republic, Empire, CIS and Alliance.
