I meant for the Water event specifically. Does this mean 15th of November then?

I'm not a scout, but yeah I think that's how it works.

i think im running starter mai.
Want to run lizardman...but mai seems more viable.
Dee Jay with Dread Carnival control won our event last night. We had rejection banned for our event so there was not a whole lot that could stop it. I originally was going to run Ukyo or Ibuki, but while I was working on Ukyo, I glanced at Dread carnival and remembered how good it was in the old days before rejection.

Last I checked, Ibuki had water and so did suzaku?
It's not that hard to make a water suzaku deck where you hit em with spikes and suzaku...
My first real competetive deck was water ibuki, Material Advantage + Kasumi Gaki
that was fun
Anyways about water, well for Viewtifuls event this friday I'm running Chun Li.
Its a very fun deck, shes pretty ruthless in this format

the new seong mina and the J.Talbain from Realm of Midnight.
I'm going with ***Lizardman***.
Tag lumber axe will be your best friend in this event BELIEVE ME when I tell you this cause that and a kunai won me my water patch.
lizardman is so beast. if i had the cards i would just copy tainted doughnuts lizardman deck. so sad that i can't
i think it's pretty much mandotory to run pull of the tides in this event with all the loopage. you got defender, geri, or just plain recursion it's all about loops.
Dread Carnival is kinda good, I hear.
Too bad we didnt do this event when CSS was legal haha I can imagine the decks stupidity lol...
I'm still leaning towards Dee Jay's flyin feet, just cause of Dread Carnival and the fact Rejection is banned for our Water event.
Rejection has also been baned at ours. Which might not be a bad thing in a water only event. It does become far to easy to loop and I Can quickly see the game devolving into games of rejection loops without the one day ban.
Im not sure who I wanna use yet. I think ima use new promo Ukyo (his defensive ability is nice against spike). I like my 7hs chars and i got one that i kinda wanna use lol.
James Hata will be at my venu kicking rear and taking names, that is all.

Promo Ukyo or Starter Deck Sakura
Ukyo is the fastest water character ever printed, and will probably be THE FASTEST water character ever printed. He's got negative and positive hand advantage built in, allowing him access to the opponent's hand and your deck better than any other water character out there. You'll out tempo the opponent and any sort of life gain they play will be mitigated because you'll have your Chinese Boxings/Chester's Backings out before the opponent does.
Then all it takes is
Clones: Ukyo Pitch. Kunai: Ukyo Pitch. Feline Spike.
For game.
Why Starter Sakura?
Fighting For Information+Sakura=Kunai+Feline Spike every turn.
If you do that, then you miss out on her best ability for the water tournament, which is to survive the fruity loops. Also Feline Spike? Eeesh... With all the water support, I'd be disappointed in any deck that couldn't loop rejection three times a turn, and moreover, you have a Battle Prowess to deal with, probably several times a turn with Shooting Capoera around. That means if you have a Feline Spike in your discard for any reason other than the one you're playing... with one Shooting Capoera and one Battle Prowess up (Because there's no way you're locking down everything with Program/Chinese. Water also has Dormant for Millions of Years and Mr. Mc Chesterson.)... You are going to slam your opponent for all of ten damage. If they get out Two Battle Prowess? You're looking at three. Order/Water/Void Sakura would be a better choice... but she's pretty much the same as Ukyo except worse.
I say Ukyo for sure.
Mai should be up there too. If she gets herself a good setup with an Ibis and a Shinobi or two out? It's game over. Hope you saved a Pull of the Tides in your hand.
New Rare Felica would be pretty tough, but she needs some kitty spikes or something to use that momentum for. Of course Club Cruncher and Hero of Southtown would get hilarious with her, especially if you threw in some Kunais for extra loop-tastic-ness.
Also, in all honesty, I think Luise might surprise some people. She doesn't loop as easily as Mai, but she still can... and those attacks get very hard to block very quickly. Since really this tournament seems to be becoming a lot about the low-vit characters, the ability to push even a few attacks through makes a very big difference.
i was sick so i mised the water event
i had built a one shot Hueitzel deck, and a starter sukura deck (did't know wich to use) but i was coughining up green and red mucus. can anyone tell me who won at renaisance games?
