theres always something i forget.

Now before anyone says anything or laughs, I wanna just point something out:

I'm being dead serious.

4Hs/40Vitality Huitzal.

Here's why, and I'll beak it down:

4HS: Yes he has a crappy handsize, but with the advent of water draw power (in things such as Soldier of Sparta, the Bigger the Are, Shotokan etc etc) he has the ability to reload his hand fairly quickly.

40Health: FOURTY FRICKEN HEALTH! That's huge, especially in such a limited format with very little damage pump. Let's examine the main kills:

Feline Spike- Fully multipled out that's 24 damage before damage pump/redux. That's just over 50% of the big robot's health. It'll take two fully multiplied out Spikes to kill the guy.

Aghoni Geri- Loopage in water is fun. Ibis loopage against Huitzal aint fun. With Geri only doing 4 damage before pumps/redux, chances are unless they're playing Yuri and gaining retarded amounts of life, chances are your opponent is gonna run outta life before Huitzal does.

Stamp- Stamps on average do around 8-12 damage at most. So going on that assumption, that'll take 4 Stamps to possibly kill the robot.

Dread Carnival- The only reason to run Dee Jay. It really is THAT good, and prolly will convince me to run the man. It also is roughly the only thing that can one shot the big ol' robot.

Huitzal's Abilities:

E: Remove the top card of your deck from the game. This attack gets -X damage (min 1) where x = the control of the attack. That pretty much will stop the water rush decks cold. With most of them running stuff like Clones, Forsaken, Soldier of Sparta they could potentially be looking at 0 damage on ALL of them. And the cost is laughable, as Divination will net you back any Spikes or Geri's you mill.

Desperation E: Add 1 card from your momentum to your card pool face down. Nuke one of your opponent's foundations. Now assuming they CAN get through half your life, that'll still leave you with 20 vitality, and you now have the ability to selectivly destroy your opponent's foundations. How is that not good?

But how would kill? Spike? Water has mediocre momentum gen so that may very well be out of the question, especially with such a small handsize. Stamp? You can draw a lot of cards, but you won't draw anywhere near as fast as Ukyo, Mai, Yuri, etc etc. So that leaves ya with Aghoni Geri/Ibis. You have FOURTY life. I don't care how many times yer opponent can block or Rejection... They are gonna die once you drop it.

New Morgan isn't bad either throw her into that list I'd say

If I had her, I might run Seong Mi-Na 3 for a lot of those reasons. 34 VIT is still pretty hefty in a playing field that'll likely be filled with 18-22 range life bars. That 5th card in hand could be pretty important for avoiding early hand screw, which is far more of a killer for low-HS characters these days than the later game/kill-shot turns. In the event they stuff your combo, leaving something you need dead in the card pool, she can fish it back, not to mention fetch blocks back all day AND refill desired attacks using her E.

She has the tools to deal with her 5HS, and the Vitality to make it matter. Mi-Na Frankensteiner and then fetching back 4 cards on their turn, including previously-used Frankensteiners, is just kinda mean against 20-ish Vitality characters anyway.

She'd actually be a great side deck option for when Ukyo shows up. you draws cards? cool, I want some as well!

Not to mention healing off your opponents rejection.

That robot is indeed looking pretty absurd... well, aside from him, I think one of the best characters is probably starter Sakura - I don't need to tell anybody how good her abilities are, but also note that she's both shorter than very nearly if not all others, and also female, so you get the upgraded versions of both The Bigger they Are (I'll take an 8hs to go with my tutoring now thx) and Gorgeous Team. (moar Rejection loopage) The tutoring also makes her better than most at pulling off the Geri combo, and her E helps defend against it if the need arises.

Promo Ukyo or Starter Deck Sakura

Ukyo is the fastest water character ever printed, and will probably be THE FASTEST water character ever printed. He's got negative and positive hand advantage built in, allowing him access to the opponent's hand and your deck better than any other water character out there. You'll out tempo the opponent and any sort of life gain they play will be mitigated because you'll have your Chinese Boxings/Chester's Backings out before the opponent does.

Then all it takes is

Clones: Ukyo Pitch. Kunai: Ukyo Pitch. Feline Spike.

For game.

Why Starter Sakura?

Fighting For Information+Sakura=Kunai+Feline Spike every turn.

i definately agree with ukyo. he is by far the fastest water charecter ever printed. i don't think morgan will win that many water events, not enough loopage. both the robot (the 40 vt one) and starter sukara are charecters i am now wishing i had inluded in my shortlist. i never realy got past the 4 hs on huitzel, and i don't think he is good in standard but he good be insane in this event.

I,m going with ***Talbain*** or the new Lizardman cause ***Talbain*** says :"do you REAAALLY!!! want that foundation to go in your staging area ?" and Lizardman A.K.A Mr I will never die. This is a tough choice to pick thoughpreocupado.gif.

I plan to run Starter Sakura. I may not be running Spikes (mainly cuase I own none), but I will be running Shadow Blade. And seeing that every turn makes your opponent loose a a bit a hope...just a bit though ^_^

Another idea if you dont wanna run Feline spike...or if you dont have them...

Starter Mai, shinobi tradition, ibis, and agonhani geris....

Keep one card in your card pool always and every time you gain back the 2 life you lose for ibis...

But yeah...promo Ukyo is disgusting for this event!

if only Ukyo was a girl... he looks feminine enough that i might have to play Ukya.

Twelve's foundations are still legal for this event... if you play Feline Spike, IT WILL hit you in the face at some point in this event =D

Hey Arch, why not just use Natural Leader instead of Fighting for Information in your Sakura example? 3/5 1M instead of 3/4 2L, and it saves you a control check :). You're already Sakura, so having Spikes stuck in your yard isn't a big deal...

High Plasma Fweem is still good in this event, although I probably wouldn't even consider it if A) Rejection weren't on the local banlist for this week and B) I didn't have Feline Spike.

Yoshitora* definitely deserves a spot on the list for contenders. He shuts down virtually every other contender (Sakura can sneak by, but everyone else is gonna need to pass that Tag Along for 6... and dodge HIS Tags too) and once he's ready for the game to end his E locks down a Chester's, China Box or Battle Prowess. And if your board doesn't interest him, he plays Feline Spikes/Shadow Blades without having to pass a block CC first.

***Morrigan*** would be my choice if I wasn't already committed to another character. Why? Because being able to use my opponent's Tag Along against them (Ooh, free card for me after they get one) and Rejection (OK, so the attack's still at 1.... but I get 3 life too!) seems like a fun idea.

Or any character with geri and ibis I played water hata for many months during this spring .

the new seong mina and the J.Talbain from Realm of Midnight.

Natural Leader works as well, but it can't pull Clones from the discard pile.

It's really a shame that I won't be able to participate in any water events, especially as it's my favorite symbol. If anybody acquires any extra water patches and is willing to part with them I'd like to acquire at least 1

Last I checked, Ibuki had water and so did suzaku?

It's not that hard to make a water suzaku deck where you hit em with spikes and suzaku...

When is/was the deadline for event signup?
