Since you already have Temporary Alliance, I think changing one group of Hired Guns (who don't do conditions anyway) with Gideon for a bit more punch on your remaining figures (and mobility for core figures) would be a good choice. Then you could add Devious Scheme, or some other upgrade.

I was just trying to get more bodies on the ground in order to chase objectives. Maybe i'll try it with and without Gideon and see how it goes.

I think, combined with either Last Resort or Explosive Armaments, it is a worthy trade. Gideon can attack also, and does so better than the HGs imo (and survives better too). I think Explosives on Dengar could be interesting, when targeting figures without conditions, you already have 1 of the 2 surges, and if you happen to naturally roll 2 surges, you have +3 damage total and Blast 2. Worth trying.

Yeah when gideon happens to shoot he usually does good.

I think i'd rather put last resort on a nexu rather than explosive armaments on dengar.

What about replacing the elite Trandoshans with regulars and adding Gideon that way? Or do people consider the elites that much of an improvement over the regulars?

Ah yes! Dengar's herd of cats! I like the idea of this list. Elite Trandos are terrors especially with the focus surge! I play my nexus very offensively though, so after Gideon focused them and pushes them up two, they are usually in front of the charge and taking up enemy attacks. The Trandos would be useful late game to sweep up whatever is left. Though, with elite HKs seeing through figures, I might try your list sans elite Trando avec Gideon instead of the second Hired gun. (Love hired guns for objectives, not brave enough to run two groups)

I like the concept but I think the Elites are just better in every way, enough so to justify the costs. Same with Nexu. If you drop Trandos, you can upgrade them all AND get Gideon in there. Trandos die too fast in Skirmish, anyway, or at least that's been my experience
