Wingman says "at the start of compact phase remove one stress token from another friendly ship at range one"

Now my question is are you able to remove it from your self (the ship equipped with wing man) bc of what the faq says about being range one of your self?

The key word is "another" - if an upgrade card says "do xyz to a friendly ship at range 1/2/3" then the ability works on yourself - if it says "do xyz to another friendly ship at range 1/2/3" then it doesn't
