Help with a build

By Askerith, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Having trouble coming up with a good build that i like. I want to use a k wing and b wings but am having trouble making one that is viable so far i have Miranda Doni with tactician and keyan farlander with FCS and a Dagger with FCS

Any pointers would be helpful

I Have: Core, TFA Core, 2 y-wing, A-wing, B-wing, E-wing, Rebel Aces, Tie Phantom.

So I've never personally flown a K-Wing with a pair of B's. It seems like it could be fun, just not sure how it would fare against some of the meta heavy builds. That being said I'd probably make a few minor changes to try to get the most out of the build. I'd swap out the shield on Miranda for R2 who can regen a shield per turn once they've been depleted. This will also cost you tactician which I'd put those 2pts into Advanced Slam for added utility. Drop the crew and title on Keyan for PTL. Not only will it help with his positioning, but it also enables stress which Keyan actually wants. Then I'd just drop the B-wing down to a blue squad to free up the points for PTL and an initiative bid.

I think you'll have more fun with Tactician in a Miranda Control build than a tanky R2-D2 build.

Tactician would be more fun for sure, just a steeper learning curve. I just got the impression from the op that he was fairly new to flying K-Wings which could make keeping ships, especially meta-heavy dodgers like Coran, Poe, and Soontir, inside his firing arc AND at range 2.

Just boils down to his comfort level on Miranda, but Tactician definitely has the higher ceiling.

i would do that but i dont have R2 but thanks for the idea

If you have the original core set, which you listed, you should have R2. Granted slightly different than the Tantive IV R2, but still gets you the shield regen when needed.
