Product Manager by day, nerd gamer by night. I'm a native Bay Area game fan who loves computer/video games, but misses the social aspect of gaming in a group.

I picked up Star Wars Imperial Assault during the holidays and I'm dying to get a group of players together who would run through the campaign together. Maybe 1 or 2 campaign missions per evening? Meet once per week till we finish. I haven't played yet, so the first couple missions will be a learning experience for us all. I'll handle the imperial side... we just need some rogues, jedis, and wookies to take on the dark side! We'll meet in the clubhouse for a few hours on Saturday evenings.

Almost but not quite perfect timing. I'm from the U.K. however I am moving to the Bay Area in a month or so to live and work.

I've just started playing IA too and so far I absolutely love it. I will be looking to find a group to campaign or skirmish with once I move across the pond.

I'm sure the campaign will stretch across multiple weeks. In fact, the meetup will have a couple breaks due to some travel I need to do.

I'm in the South Bay (Mt View) and I can only get up to SF proper occasionally. However, I would love to meet up sometime: especially for skirmishes. Can't make it on Jan 9th but be sure to hit me up about any other events.

Hey, guys! I'm not on these forums terribly often, but there are two Facebook Groups (one open, one closed) that are active and available for Imperial Assault. We just had the first Skirmish Store Championship last night at GameScape San Francisco, and there are four more in the greater Bay Area coming up that I'm helping to coordinate.

Imperial Assault Northern California is the open group, and SF Bay Area Imperial Assault is the closed group.

I've seen those groups (and have even just requested a join), but they seem to be skirmish-centric, which is not too appealing for some of us. The campaign seems more immersive and thematic.

Anyway, not knocking it, but I'll stick with the campaign for now and then maybe afterwards try the skirmish mode.

Totally understand, though I do think there are people you can connect with to play the campaign with on there. I'd love to, but I'm up in the North Bay near Santa Rosa.

I shall be looking to meet up to play some skirmish games too when I arrive in the area next month. I entered my first ever tournament at my local store in the UK last weekend. It was only my second ever game of skirmish and it really showed. To say I was beaten is not the word, I was thoroughly humiliated So I hope to find a group to meet up with regularly and learn the finer mechanics of the game and hopefully reach a skill where I don't appear a total buffoon when I next sit in at a tournament. Anyone willing to help teach an Englishman how to better tabletop I would be most grateful
