I'm a new player from Michigan, just picked up the Original Trilogy core set and X-Wing expansion. Does anyone know if there are any tournaments taking place in the Metro Detroit area? Preferably Downriver (ex. Allen Park, Taylor, Lincoln Park, Wyandotte, etc.)

Welcome to the game. Not too sure about any downriver places. The furthest south I'm aware of was shenanigans in Taylor, but they went out of business about 6 months ago (plus, their were some shenanigans going on with their tournaments, so I wouldn't have recommended it anyways). The most active place seems to be eternal games in Warren, with RIW having a good but unreliable showing in Livonia. There's a SE Michigan thread, as well as a Michigan X Wing Facebook group for more information. This is a great time of year to get into the game - with the Store Championship season just starting there are going to be tons of people playing and tons of events being run. Once again, welcome aboard!

That is a little disheartening. I was hoping there'd be a store closer that I could visit on Sundays (it's my only day off during the week and I work the night shift the other 6 days).
