Played some X-Wing with my Boy Scouts and couple of their younger brothers and friends today. All told we had 11 boys playing, 5 Rebels, 5 Imperials, and a Scum player just causing problems. I had a panic attack two weeks ago when I realized I only had one set of move templates and one damage deck. Some serious ebaying netted me 4 sets of templates and two more damage decks. I added a couple ships to spruce up the game and built some squadrons to make game day start up easier. Separate rooms were provided as HQs for pre-mission planning. Three times the respective commanders made it interesting by either not showing up for a particular mission, or sending a token force so they could toss more ships at other objectives.
I wrote up three missions for their first foray into the Tannis Sector. The Rebels were commanded by Lando's cooler brother Coolio Starstach. The Imperials by a dark menace who has yet to reveal himself.
The played 8 smaller games and then two much larger Base Assault missions. The Rebels pulled off a squeaky win by a one-game margin, and they are asking for more. No mission by mission recap as 4 of the boys had never played before, so I was answering questions and moving things along. Some pics for proof:

Good times were had.
