I'm new to X-wing and am really wanting to get into it but I have nobody to play with in Chicago.. Which is kind of amazing considering the size of the city. I don't want the only opportunity for me to play to be when I visit my friends in Oklahoma. Are there any places that have regular meet ups?

I live in Chicago as well and am interested to see if there are any groups out there that meet up to play. I just invested in a lot of the sets and expansions so I am ready to test some squads out.

Dice Dojo is in Chicago proper but more North Side. Games Plus in Mount Prospect has a great group that meets regularly on Fridays. Pasttimes in Niles is also a great location. If you are closer to Aurora/Naperville there is Draxtar in Batavia(not sure how regularly they meet) or Fair Game in Downers (again not sure what night they meet... rumor was Monday nights) Then there is Unique Gifts and Games in Grayslake and far out west is Keplie Games in DeKalb.

There is also Tyton Games in Villa Park, which plays Sundays.

Yup this matches everything I have heard about these venues. There is also Pastimes in Niles that is starting up their next cyle of League play on March 2. They play every Wednesday for seven weeks then the championship in the eighth week. Highly recommend joining the Windy City Squadron.

Gaming Goat in Oak Park plays most Sundays.

What is "Gaming Goat" in Oak Park? A bit of a haul for me but might be worth a drive on Sundays....

Gaming Goat is a chain store in Oak Park. The "Goats" specialize in card games and board games. There are several locations in the Chicago area. The one in Oak Park is the only one that I know of that has an active X-Wing community. The "Goat" in Geneva, Elgin, and Schaumburg do not have anything happening for X-Wing. Other locations besides these three may vary.

Fair Games in Downers Grove has X-Wing play on Monday nights.

It may be a bit of a drive for you guys, but we have a fairly large X-wing community in Rockford that plays every Tuesday, Friday & Saturday at Black Dog Hobby & Games.
