tackle boxes

hey guys just getting into x wing and was wondering wht are some good takle boxes you guys use to organize your ships in

Plano 732, got mine at Walmart. I was really surprised at how well it fit everything.

Plano 3700. The removable "drawers" makes it extremely versatile. I can fit my entire collection in it, but I mostly have one of each ship except for TIE fighters, TIE FO, X-Wings, Defenders, and Bombers.

Couple it with the boxes from here and it holds a ton: http://www.sirwillibald.com/?page_id=753〈=en

I use the original plastic packaging that the ships come in and use a big cardboard box to store the ships, everything else is in ziploc bags an thrown into the box.

Like Forgottenlore, I recommend the Plano 732. I received it from Santa and I'm sure he got it from WalMart for a great price (compared to other high-end options of course). That is my transport box and I went from 3+ boxes to that one for X-Wing night. A lot of the other folks are using it as well.

I have the upgrade cards in the lid compartments kept safe in SirWilliBald's boxes. Inside the lid are the maneuver and range templates, small ship bases/stems and any ships I need for the night. I can put at least 2 large ships and probably 8+ smalls in there. On the sides I have all of the tokens required for play along with dice, damage cards, laser, and obstacles. The containers in the middle are split between the 3 factions and hold pilot cards, ship chips, dials, and some small models (e.g. core set, aces, most wanted, etc.). As an added bonus, you can also use the same system with other games (e.g. Armada) by swapping out the inserts (3600's and 3700's sold separately) which are much less expensive than the original system.

For home storage, I use the Snapware snap 'n stack 6x9's (also found at WalMart) to keep ships safe. If you trim down the original plastic packaging, you can fit 6+ small ships and 1 large ship (with base/stem and ship chips) with some smalls per level. If you make your own foam system for these, you could put a lot more in each container. The snapware system is cheap and very modular (flexible) if you need to use that as an additional transport solution and they have lots of different sizes (12x12 for example).

Which was it...? Plano 1337? It's the big one. I didn't start off using it, but it didn't take too long to fill it up. :)

When you go to the store to look at different ones, open them all up and compare the trays. Try to swap the trays for the ones you want when no one is looking. Works better at a sports store than Walmart, but you get the idea.

I have one like this too. Mine is red and black. Made by a company called Keter.
