Is taking a Mangler Cannon on a Bwing a good idea or are there better options, or are the better options for Bwings?

Edited by AstelAlways a good choice, especially with Ten Numb. Want an uncancellable crit every attack? Yes please.
Try Plasma Torpedos to drop shields quicker and get those criticals making more of an impact.
Edited by Phoenix8472If you're talking about generic pilots, e.g. Blue or Dagger squadron, I'd say probably not.
Blue Squadron pilots are good with Accuracy Correctors or Advanced Sensors.
Ten Numb with a Mangler cannon, however is a perfect fit. Combine with Fire Control System for extra fun.
I know four dice is sweet sweet candy at R1. But so too is the look of utter despair on your victims faces when you hit them with a fully modded Autoblaster shot. I've even rerolled crits for a chance at a hit! When triple blinks come up and you're sitting on a focus? Ugh! I could fetch a skull chalice! The tears!
Blue Squadron should be dirt cheap. At most you put FCS on him. A cannon and torpedoes and hull? Way too expensive. If you want torps you bring Nera and let her shoot 360ยบ. I you want the Mangler to shine you put it on Ten Numb and let his critical always go through.
Now I'm currently a huge fan of an Ion Cannon on a Dagger Squadron B-Wing. It's cheap (ish) and effective and lets your higher PS pilots focus on a known point for the target. It let me bag Redline before he did more than scratch some shields.
I'd only ever run mangler cannon on ten numb, other wise it's just not worth it. Tactician , fcs maybe advance sensors are what you want on a b wing.
What i like to run:
Ten numb: calculation+mangler cannon+ fire control system 38
nera dantels: deadeye+ bwing/E2 + recon specialist +plasma torp+ EM + FCS 38
blue squadron : enhanced scopes
Ten numb for the crits, ibtisam to remove shields for tose crits to have effect, and a blue with pilot skill 0 on activation, to avoid bumps.
deadeye/recon specialist on nera means she will almost always be able to fire her torps. If you have a target lock from last turn, you can spend focus to perform atack, reroll blanks with lock and if need be spend second focus after that. In a 360 arc.
Bit sluggish but fun to fly
Edited by petercooman123Ok thanks for the tips, help and advice. As of I know I only have the Rebel Aces B-Wing and do plan to acquire more. So basically its not the best option to take one on a lower skill pilot but for Numb its a no brainier.
