How do you handle Signature Abilities?

By ardoyle, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Are Signature Abilities affected by the limit of 1 Destiny Point per action (in many cases 2 Destiny Points). A PC cannot spend a Destiny Point for a skill check and then to activate a talent, can he does it for Skill Check + Signature Ability? Thx.

If you mean spend DP on the skill check associated with activating a SA, I wouldn't allow that, the DP(s) are what allow you to even make the check in the first place. Any checks after the SA is activated are free game imo.

Right, that clarifies for the future, but I wanted ask for a Signature Ability like Unmatched Fortune which is activated after a skill check, but you dont know if you need to activate it until you make the skill check. In other words, does the PC has to withhold himself from spending a Destiny Point on a skill check if he wants to use Unmatched Fortune (or any other similar SA). Thank you!

That's specifically spelled out as being used on dice, plus it can help allies as well as negative dice. If an item or thing has specific guidelines that's fine. GMs and PCs shouldn't default to "well, it doesn't say I can't...." line of thinking.
