Hey, I am new to x-wing and am interested in creating a list that consists with wedge. I only have a core set, and reasonable funds any suggestions??

Red core set or Blue core set?

Blue core set has an astromech that improves wedge's maneuverability, especialy combined with PTL and Engine Upgrade.

Wedge does well with push the limit and bb8. Anything else is extraneous although integrated astromech is a no brainer now. I'd suggest this build although you could fly him with no repositioning from engine upgrade or barrel roll. I prefer one or the other on any X wing though.

If there's no issue with it then proxy before you buy. Always the best way.

Wedge does best when there's something equally threatening around btw. If he's the only credible threat he will die fast. You either want ships with equal or greater damage output or control or something they won't want to face in the end game like say regenerating ships. These will attract fire away from wedge. Biggs is another option although keeping that range bubble isn't always feasible.

Proxy, proxy all the things! You won't have a big enough collection for competitive play until you spend a bit of money or borrow cards, however, with the Old Core Set, New Core Set, X-Wing Blister, and the Reb Transport you can put together a pretty decent XXX List.

Wedge + BB8 + Push The Limit + IA

Luke + R2D2 + Lone Wolf + IA

Wes Janson + R3A2 + Veteran Instincts + IA

It works pretty nicely for T-65's. Wes sets them up, Wedge kills them, Luke does what he does and closes the end game.

Wedge does well with BB-8 even without Push the Limit.

For sure, I just like the option to TL and Focus. You could throw Predator on instead though.
