Got ambitious and made a map of all US Store Championships

While they haven't put it on their calendar yet, I can confirm that Atomic Empire in Durham, NC is indeed having a Championship on 3/26.

This is a great resource. Thanks so much for putting this together!

EDIT: I misspoke, they've moved the date to 2/27. No event page yet, but here's staff confirming it on their forums:

This is a great tool. Any chance you can ask the mods to sticky it until SC season is over?

MajorJuggler put it in the useful links thread pinned to the top, but I can ask for easier access.

dont think it's been announced yet, but it will be soon: in Fargo, ND the one at Little Big Wars will be on Feb 6, and the one at Paradox Comics n Cards will be on Feb 27.

Increasing the scope of this thread to the whole world, so it would benefit the whole community, would make the pinned status more justified.

Enjoying the pinned status, however, if this is to start a trend of temporary pins (which is ok), then i would like to see Majors thread of store champs results and regional results pinned during the season as well...

I would have liked to do that, but because FFG doesn't put out an official list for that I didn't feel real comfortable attempting it. Really didn't want to send anyone on wild goose hunts. I found a few "store championships" here in the states, would have a real tough time filtering them for the international events.

Just found out that there will be a Store Championship in Lufkin, Texas on January 29th at Gamer's Hollow . This was posted on January 1st.

As a new player who doesn't know the scene much, this has been hugely helpful in finding the events near me. I am curious and sorry if its been asked before, does anyone know why FFG doesn't host a list of events somewhere on their site? It seems like something that would really benefit them and the stores hosting the events to have a country/state/province breakdown of events so you could find them. I never would have known about the stores in my area let alone the events going on without this thread.

I'm really glad this could be so helpful for you! I don't believe there is any aggregated list of x-wing events for the country, but most regions have active facebook groups that keep everyone up to date with the latest schedules. Not sure what part of the country you're in, but go to facebook and search "Your Area Here" X-Wing and you will usually find a group. Alot of the info I've found for this map has been through the local facebook groups.

There is a list of Store Championship events here , but for better or for worse, the involvement of FFG's Organized Play with Store Championships appears to end when they mail a kit to each store. The venue, tournament fee, and timing of each event is left up to the individual stores.

So there hasn't been a resource like R2whistler's before. I've been playing since the game launched, and even I've found it incredibly convenient to look at what's within driving distance and immediately find the date and time for (almost) each event I could feasibly attend.

Thanks for making it so easy to find local events. Too bad I finally broke down and tried X-Wing after spending so much time and money learning D&D Attack Wing and committed to playing in a regional for that game.

The Game Cave (in Hermitage) does not have the store championship. It is the Game Cave 2 (in Hendersonville). It is not scheduled yet.

And with the Cool Stuff confusion resolved there's officially no X-wing, or any other game for that matter, Store Championship in Orlando this year. Every possible event is an hour's drive away at the least. That's down from three 2 years ago, and two last year. Bleh.
