Miranda Doni — K-Wing 29

Twin Laser Turret 6

Recon Specialist 3

Shield Upgrade 4

Ship Total: 42

Dash Rendar — YT-2400 36

Push the Limit 3

Heavy Laser Cannon 7

Kyle Katarn 3

Engine Upgrade 4

Outrider 5

Ship Total: 58

Any thoughts? Any other ideas for a Dash buddy? I know and I've used Corran and I know Poe is another option.

Another thought that just popped into my head

Jan Ors — HWK-290 25

Veteran Instincts 1

Ion Cannon Turret 5

Recon Specialist 3

Engine Upgrade 4

Moldy Crow 3

Ship Total: 41

I know Jan would probably die very fast but just an idea. The Elite, Turret and Mod could all be changed to something else but the stacking focus for the turret and defense, VI for PS 10 and Boost to Arc Dodge(hah) and 5 die HLC on Dash seem cool.

The first build looks like fun

I've ran dash and Jan before it works well, but I believe I had chewy and engine upgrade on Jan

Issues I ran into with it is dash can get too fat away from Jan, while still in her range she becomes a huge target

Coran would still be better overall just because his double tap with dash really make short work of ships

Dash Rendar — YT-2400 36

Expose 4

Heavy Laser Cannon 7

Gunner 5

Tactical Jammer 1

Outrider 5

Ship Total: 58

Jan Ors — HWK-290 25

Veteran Instincts 1

Ion Cannon Turret 5

Recon Specialist 3

Engine Upgrade 4

Moldy Crow 3

6 dice HLC Dash. Jan hides behind Dash and then they both die super quick (put 3PO on Dash if I had him). Focus on my first list more than this maniacal contraption!

Expose only works on primary dice. I wish it worked on anything (looking at you 7 die APT [expose+jan])

I think R2 or C3PO are better crew option for Miranda and Advanced Slam over Shield Upgrade. R2 will allow you to trigger Miranda's ability to hit 0 shields and regenerate under your terms. C3PO will mitigate a lot of damage. Advanced Slam will let you arc dodge like a SOB.

Ahhhh missed the primary part of expose probably just stick with Doni then and I'll try the mentioned upgrades on her, I don't have the Tantive myself but I'm sure my friend would let me borrow some cards.

Chewbacca crew works well too if you don't have R2 or C3PO.

I'll second this. I like Super Dash with Miranda using TLT, R2-D2, and Advanced Slam putting you at 99pts. Just feels like it makes her more durable and addsa bit of utility with the advanced slam.

Why not r2 on dash? You lose the focus from Kyle but gain two ships the regen shields and can put C3PO on doni for more tanky.

In my experience at least I get more mileage out of Kyle on Dash. In theory two ships with shield regen are better than one. However, Kyle essentially gives Dash 2 actions per turn, albeit one has to be focus. More often than not I'm able to use that other action to boost/evade and avoid an attack all together which is generally better than the 1 shield regen R2 allows IF you're already out of shields. I think it really boils down to how confident you are with your positioning of Dash. If you trust your ability to boost and barrel roll to safety then Kyle is going to give you the most value in your crew slot.

It's possible 3PO is still the better option on Doni though. I don't have enough practice with the pairing to say one way or the other.

Well my reasoning behind the R2 is TLTs. The are becoming increasingly more popular. I played in a tournament yesterday and the top four lists had at least 2 and the winning list was 4 TLT y wings with salvaged Astromech. Because of this all the boost and barreling isn't going to get you away from all the shots and that extra focus is only going to save you from one of the two TLT shots. I'm finding that the only hard counters to them are autothrusters and regens.

I think the TLT's are even more reason for Kyle on Dash. Keep in mind R2 only starts shield regen when you're out of shields so best case scenario you have 5 hull and 1 shield. A 4 TLT volley could still drop Dash in 1 rd if he stays in range of all 4. With Kyle you get to grab an evade token or boost out of range of a Y or two, push the limit, grab a focus token, and potentially evade 3 attacks (1 guaranteed with the evade token) vs the 1 regen from R2. Mileage may vary and again a lot come does to how comfortable you are handling Dash and judging your ranges to avoid being hit.
