Inquisitor's Dial conversation

By DraconPyrothayan, in X-Wing

I'm gonna stick with what I said before I think this has made the fo obsolete the TAP has a great dial and action economy built in and it's more survivable against turrets.

Apart from a few aces the fo offers little it's not even the cheapest option as a blocker.

So do you just seek out every possible opportunity to pick on the TIE that isn't like the others?

With no cheap EPT generic, I would rather just fly a Crackshot Omega Squadron.

Try Black+Crack no way back to the regular or f\o swarms xD

I cant help think the Title is a decent stand-in for an EPT. Sure TL isnt brilliant on 2 Dice but a free evade is better than nothing.

I fly 3x Black Squadron, 3x Onega Squadron, 6x Crackshot. The Crack Squadrons die hard and the FO's last until the end game. That 2 red sloop is ******* crazy good.

I love dials. And it makes me love this ship. I had a dream that one day I would have a green hard 1.

Dials are what make this game fun for me. I have to see if it is too expensive for a 2 attack dice ship.

I think in a tight dogfight this ship can hard 1, then PtL, boost then barrel roll. and do it again next turn.

I never really liked giving up my hard turns when I PtL-ed my TIE Interceptors.

With the actual Inquisitor, I believe it essentially becomes a 3 attack ship since range 2/3 count as range 1. (though no 4 dice at range 1) , all at 25 points / 8 skill unmodified.

My favourite 6-crack is this one

starts as a formation, breaks up when needed, dishes out tremendous damage in the opening salvo thanks to her majesty Howlie

Mauler is here mostly as a distraction. fear of a 4-attack with crack+focus+howlie is unbearable it seems.

I feel like at this point we need more choices than PTL for extra actions.

It's kind of boring.

I dunno how those 1 greens will be. Seems a little too easy to block.

Just a little PSA

You're never taking tie/mk2 when you could have thrusters for 1 more point

The FO's dial still craps on this thing's with segnors and interceptor greens

Good for slow rolling a ptl inquisitor, though

I'd like to point out that it's currently the only small-based ship in the game capable of banking or turning at any speed with no reds in that range.

Juno Eclipse

I'll admit, though I've no love or care for the show, this ship's capabilities are extraordinarily intriguing to me. I'll be interested to fly one, this thing seems like a ravenous little hunter.

"Hey, that Prototype we made was too maneuverable, better cut back on the engines for the mass production version."

- The Empire, probably

Yep. My problem with the whole thing. Makes not much sense.

More like:

That ship we made is incredible bit it costs about 5 million credits too much. Make the design cheaper. Significantly cheaper.

And, make sure the Emperor's right hand man flies it. Every time. Except when the Defender is needed for that one mission.

If the TAP is the prototype for the Advanced then the loss of maneuverability and boost from the TAP for the Advanced makes sense. Adding 50% more hull to the ship to house a hyperdrive and other equipment can only be detrimental to the Advanced maneuver profile compared to the TAP's.

The inquisition, what a show!

No really the green one is really nice to have. I have seen digfights where ships never part more than range 2. If you can green 1, boost, roll there is no way anyone will outurn you. And staying at Range 1 makes 2 Attack dice manageable.

The only possibilities to get away from the Inquisitor are having T-rolls or just high speed disengage and cone back later... Which is equally bad vs tge Inquisitor!

I had a dream that one day I would have a green hard 1.

I don't think you meant this like it came out. Or maybe you did and you just need our help?

I don't know how to, or want to help with that.

All this excitement about the 1-hard green is merited, but it does matter that all the green banks and turns are slow. It's good, but also less than good in some scenarios. They end up being great knife fighters, bur poor pursuers.

Not really. It has 2-3-4 straight as green as well, and the Inquisitor doesnt care if he is able to stay at range 1 in a pursuit.

Plus he does have a 5 straight at his disposal and boost/barrel roll! This is as fast as it gets for small ships!

You don't. They have a green 2 hard turn, which is one of the reasons why I think the Interceptor's dial is slightly better than the TAP's.

I think the TAPs dial is fantastic. That said I do feel having all speed 2 greens is superior to 1s IMO. At least where PtL is concerned which is what I envision the ship doing most often.

Seems like a fun ship to fly. Having both boost and barrel roll is nice, and the title is interesting.

Darn it FFG, you want me to buy 5 of them, don't you?

The TIE FO has the best TIE dial. Then I'd say the TAP has the second best, with the Interceptor third, although I can see arguments for either. 2 red sloops make the FO dial and the green 2 yards are icing on the cake. Even without the 2 hard greens I'd still consider the FO to have the best TIE dial.
