the Y wings focus and Jan gives Dutch a lock, who passes it to Horton. Horton rolles a 5 die, reroll blanks, focused, Palp'd Plasma torpedo at somebody. Even a Fell is looking at losing a stealth device if he rolls more blanks than palptine can cover. And Dutch follows it up with 4 dice focused palp'd, while Jan hovers in the backround throwing TLT shots into the fray.

Assuming 2 y-wings can get Fel in arc, of course (seems a bit iffy to me with no blockers in the list). I guess the autoblasters are to help with that...

I think maybe Horton would be better off with veteran instincts and Jan with wired. This would give you an extra point to upgrade Dutch's torpedo to proton. Then he doesn't need the squad leader. Horton also doesn't need the squad leader because Dutch passes him a lock. Now you have plasma to strip shields, proton to lay on a crit. And against Fel, the proton is nastier if you catch him in arc...

If Dutch doesnt get squad leader'd you're limitd to TLing at PS6. (which reminds me why my old EM/plasma release version of this list ran VI Horton)

So dutch getting a TL at PS8 is worth 2 points? I still think VI horton is better. Horton doesn't need Dutch's TL for the first turn, he can get his own and doesn't need focus because he has a proton torpedo and guidance chimps...
