Yep. And the new crew for E2 is gonna be insane on them. B-wings are right back in the mix.I just realized that B-Wings with Torpedoes are COMPLETELY VIABLE NOW.
Just don't try and put the E2 modification and the Guidance Chip modification on the same B-Wing. That would make you a sad panda. ![]()

17 with title then 19 with Autothrusters it had to be 16 base or it'd compete with the tie advanced and lose.

I wouldn't think they are too good for the cost, but Prototype Pilots do certainly seem a really solid choice

A naked Alpha is probably one of the worst buys in the game. I find it very hard to believe it blows the TAP generic out of the water.

I use them often enough. 3 attack, 3 evade, can't be 1-shotted by a proton bomb/Adv homing missile, and one of the best dials in game, with both boost and barrel roll available... for 18 points it's a great ship. I can't imagine wanting to go cheaper at the cost of a whole attack die. If I did I'd go for a TIE/fo.

I think that's precisely his point. The PS2 will be seen about as often as we see the Alpha.

It doesn't fit your preferences, fine. Doesn't mean it's a bad ship. A V1, especially with the title will be a tad stronger than an Alpha, with more HP and stronger action economy (able to help both offense and defense at the same time).
Alpha with AT is 20 tap with title and at is 19, tap can guarantee 2 damage stopped from a turret alpha can only be sure of one.
Alpha can't take PTL and as it shoots last it'll most likely need to use its action for defence so naked red dice give 1.5 damage as an average, TAP will have its TL giving it a decent chance to get two hits.
Tap not only has one more hit point it's 50% shields to boot.
Alpha is the clear loser.

except Maarek HAS to be at range 2 exactly to fire it, where if you put it on Rhymer you have more variation - but at this point I'm digressing.
Either way, I'm happy for you guys if you are excited by this ship... I'm just shocked to see this kind of excitement over a 2 attack, 2-hull ship. That sort of thing is ok for a 12 point ship sometimes, but not at a base of 16.... yuck! I'm still gonna buy one because I'm a completionist, but I dunno if I'll ever fly it.
