Can Emperor Palpatine change all dice results to crits?

If i read the card he can change results to anything so why not change dice to all crits?

He can change ONE die to ANY result ONCE per round. So it could be a crit if required.

He cannot modify all of the dice in an attack.

he only changes one die result but it is possible if you roll crits. I once attacked with Stele and rolled 2 crits, a blank and added the crit from ATC, guess what i did with the blank , Bossk had 1 shield remaining and rolled a blank, i then found 3 Direct hits after drawing 9 cards

Why were you drawing nine cards? If Stele nets 3 [kabooms] while the target has a Shield token one [kaboom] will go toward removing that shield. The next has you draw three damage cards before dealing one to the target while discarding the rest. The last also has you draw three card to choose from before dealing one and discarding the rest. I read the quoted line and think you figured that because you have three [kabooms] you get to deal 3 face-up cards to the target and because of Maarek you get to draw 9 at one time to choose from when picking the 3 that get dealt. That is NOT how critical work and not how Mararek Stele's ability works either.

at Range 1 i rolled 2 crits and a blank, i changed the blank to a rit with Palpatine, then added a crit from ATC, the shield took 1 crit, i drew 3 cards and picked a direct hit, i then drew 3 more cards and drew 2 direct hits but only 1 applied, then i drew the last 3 cards and also drew a direct hit.

Sorry that I missed the ATC adding a crit the first time I looked at it. That certainly explains where the shield went and why you land three [kabooms] on the target. I still stand behind the explanation on Maarek's as there are many people who would play that ability incorrectly and try drawing all nine cards at once.
