You can only use the avatars provided by FFG. They have them from all their games but it still is a limited selection, especially if you want and x-wing appropriate avatar.

Welcome Red 7... interesting choice of TIE Pilot with a Rebel callsign. You'll find that you glance at avatars and think you know who posted something only to find out it was someone else with the same avatar... happens a bit too much here, but I can understand them limiting the choice, especially with limited forum moderators (which might just be my best understatement of the year).

I thought I saw a couple of people post with Tie and X-wing avatars, but I must have been mistaken.

As for the rebel cll sign and Imperial Avatar... I think that it represents my difficulty choosing which side to take

There was a section of X-Wing avatars but for some unknown reason FFG removed them. So only those of us who were around before that point still have them.

I think the worse part is we have no idea why, and no warning. They were just gone one day. We found out because someone went to change theirs and posted about it.
