how is my list? feedback welcomed :)
extra munitions just to get another bomb on the y-wing?
Drop the bomb and the extra munitions and get push the limit of the A-wing.
Well there are a few tweaks that could be done
Advanced Proton torpedoes are just not that great.
You really. Want to have a target lock and focus on the Defender, so you need good action economy, and they are not cheap.
Not the first choice I'd go with poe
Same with wired
Poe isn't going to be stressed much so your really not going to get much use from it
Veteran instincts is good on poe, I've also done well with Ptl on him, but I like veteran instincts to stay ahead of other ps9 ships.
I've never used esuge.
Only marinda
Usege gets better use if she can use someone else's focus token.
Flying her besides someone with two focus or a bunch of ships would be best imo.
But hey I've never tried her so can't say much there
Don't know about the bombs.
And the awing, again cool hand may not be best option.
Again awings have a great dial and don't get stressed much.
Maybe if you also had Ptl on there maybe. But your kind of wasted points since your awing really shouldn't be stressed much
I'm guessing you're keeping in mind of kturn with poe and the awing which is why you have those elite talents?
They may kturn once or twice a game so maybe you could look at some that would be a better pt investment.
Poe really likes to keep his focus so to get more use from his pilot ability
You attack roll hit focus focus.
You use his ability, you now have two hits and a Focus, But you still have that focus and can use it for defense.
Great if there is more than one ship.
Which is why he pairs ip so nicely with the droid R5-p9.
Any dmg he takes he can get back a shield if he still had a Focus
Here's a list I've been running. Been doing well just to maybe give you an idea
While not the same it has two of the same ships
Poe
Veteran instincts
R5-P9
Autothrusters
Marinda
Twin laser turret
Tactician
Gold squadron
Twin laser turret
Btl ywing title
R3a2
Edited by Krynn007I only have
TFA CORE SET
T70 EXPANSION
REBEL ACES
K WING
avialble to me at the moment. So I'm kinda limited
Alright, here's a starter list with what you've got. I decided to keep it pretty basic, and the ships you'll fly with this list are typical for the rebellion. In other words fairly forgiving if you make a mistake or two due to how bulky they are.
Here's the list, it's 99 points by the way.
Miranda Doni 29
Twin laser turret 6
(with her innate ability this girl will regenerate and keep fighting for days.)
Keyan Farlander 29
Wired 1
(Keyan actually likes being stressed, and that makes his dial alot more forgiving than most b wings. Wired works really well here if you need to save the "focus" for defense)
Poe Dameron 31
Cool hand 1
Bb8 2
Intergrated astromech 0
(Poe here with this load out will be a forgiving pilot to fly. Integrated astromech gives an effective 7 hull+shields and cool hand means you can make that k turn or cool new talon roll and still have a focus. Bb8 isn't the best droid for Poe, but more manueverabillity never hurts.)
Now this list is by no means perfect, but it's the best I could figure with what cards and ships you have available. I'm a long time imperial player though so maybe some other rebel can come help more. Good luck and have fun with this wonderful hobby.
Edited by BleakSquadronWith such a limited pool of upgrade cards, that seems like a solid way to make good use of them. Another option is
A-Wing: ยท Jake Farrell (24)
Cool Hand (1)
Proton Rockets (3)
A-Wing Test Pilot (0)
Wired (1)
what would yall reccamend be my next buy
I want to fly the k wing with tlt and a t70 with Poe. Would an awing or b wing be tre better third ship?
There are many options
Maybe a regular core set?
Gives ya 2 more ties and some good xwing pilots
The Falcon is a nice ship. It's competitive and great for new players.
You seem to have more rebels. Are you focusing primarily on rebels?
Ywings have become quite popular with the tlt and r3a2
Maybe a rebel ywing and most wanted expansion?
Most wanted will get you Started on the scum faction.
Which also comes with a conversion for the Rebel hwk and imperial firespray to use for scum.
I guess it all depends on what you want to focus on and maybe any specific upgrades you want
Edit
If you did get another core set that would also give you another set of dice which is actually nice to have
Then of coarse I always usually recommend the xwing and tie expansion. Wedge, and Luke are nice, and Howlrunner is great if you ever wanted to field a bunch of ties.
Edited by Krynn007Yes I want to play rebels
Ah gotcha. The k wing is one of my fav ships visually
I'd say a ywing, and maybe a non TFA core set.
That'll give ya Luke and Biggs which both are nice
Xwing expansion will get ya a Wedge and garven
The ywing is nice with the tlt
Also not sure on your budget but you can always pick up upgrade cards on eBay or through team covenant if you ever wanted to play competitive.
If not just use a proxy for home games
I do want to play competitively my budget is pretty mild just gonna pick up maybe one or two per month. I deffinatly do want to use the k wing just experimenting right now and getting other people's advice
Marinda is pretty sweet with the kwing
To help with your budget check eBay or team covenant for buying single cards.
This can save you a lot and if you know exactly what you want not get stuck with ships and cards Yost don't want.
Since you're focusing on rebels there are upgrades that you may want that come in imperial or scum expansion.
Proxy in at home anything you don't have, that may help you decide is you like something or not.
Also you could borrow from a friend of you wanted to play competitive
At home you can just print off with printer.
Edit
That's how I started.
Buying a couple ships a month, and now you can see my collection in my signature
I haven't updated recently as well
Edited by Krynn007Ah gotcha
I agree that the standard core set would be a good bet. There are some really useful cards in the Millennium Falcon expansion, which is what I'd advise for after that.
As for your question about whether the A is better than a B... I think it depends how you want to play. Bs are slow, reliable, tanky, but can be hard to fly. As are fast, nimble but fragile and have lower damage output.
Bs are better for jousting and raw damage dealing, As for staying out of enemy firing arcs and trying to attack from the flank or behind.
Makes sense
Also not sure on your budget but you can always pick up upgrade cards on eBay or through team covenant if you ever wanted to play competitive.

Team Covenant looks like they're out of stock in everything. Does this have anything to do with the price updates FFG is making, or is it going to be harder in general to find individual cards in the future?
That I don't know
I'm sure someone else on here may know
