So FFG will prolly make these in 2016... but just in case they don't I am getting these for some fun NOW. They look good to me and are very close to being the right size.
If/when FFG makes these for real in the next six months or longer, then I will happily mess these (Wonderful) crap-versions up and add them to my 3D Debris goodies. I got one shuttle and two of the Transports for a whole great big $12 on Dat-Zon... hurrah!

The Transporter feels pretty nice though, I have one. It seems pretty close to the right scale to be a game objective piece. I wish the landing gear on the underside was better though.

Yeah just use the Lambda Dial. That is pretty much what I am doing too, for cool scenario games.

Going off the stats of the Upsilon class command shuttle in the TFA cross sections book... its only offensive armament are the pair of twin laser cannons seen mounted beneath each wing.
What the ship does have are INCREDIBLY powerful shield generators and an advanced sensor suite that puts pretty much every scout ship in the galaxy to shame. These systems are explained as being the product of top secret First Order tech programs that had been running deep in the Uncharted Regions since before the fall of the Empire.
According to the book, they're used to coordinate TIE squadrons by identifying targets and developing firing solutions long before the shuttle itself enters enemy sensor range.
Personally, I love the look of the ship and can't wait to see how it manifests in X-Wing.

They came in this afternoon and sure enough the models look way better in hand than they do in the pictures of them online. They are just as detailed as FFG STAR WARS Ships... yes, they are.
I am happy I got these little meanies.
I'm not entirely sure if the stormtrooper transport fits in XWMG. Its has next to nothing in terms of ship to ship armaments, only an anti personnel blaster for softening landing zones.
The Upsilon Class Shuttle on the other hand is almost certain to show up in the game.

I agree these Transports are basically super HWK's kinda and they will not do much more than that, with the turret options and some Super B-Wing'ish toughness. I am fine with that because I play EPIC and these are just great for scenario games.
