Anything for Leias transport, yet? I think I like it.
I'm not entirely sure if the stormtrooper transport fits in XWMG. Its has next to nothing in terms of ship to ship armaments, only an anti personnel blaster for softening landing zones.
The Upsilon Class Shuttle on the other hand is almost certain to show up in the game.
But I love to have a few non-figher ships in the game for missions/scenarios.
Derpy shuttle is made even more derpy since the wings don't pivot
Expect to see an even DERPIER 5-wing version, which certain star wing lovers will also love. Maybe also a version of the troop ship with five lobes like the TIE Punisher.
Because the Derp Train, she has no brakes.

Still waiting for someone to actually mod the TIE Punishest that went around when FFG announced wave 7. While I love my Punishers, that one was quite funny.

I agree these Transports are basically super HWK's kinda and they will not do much more than that, with the turret options and some Super B-Wing'ish toughness. I am fine with that because I play EPIC and these are just great for scenario games.
Then I have to ask: How long are the Transports Models? In X-Wing Scale they should be 6.6cm long. Perfect to put them atop of the different objective markers ![]()

Nah Brah so far there is just the Lego version which is of course not going to workout for our purposes.

It is about perfect, being two TIE FO FO's long. I am also going to use the wonderful little critter in my Boss' Land War games to drop troops on the doorstep of objectives. As long as the Resistance does not blast them out of the sky first it should work out great!

I will post some pictures of all of my FO FO's this weekend.

Yeah but I am in the top ten'ish.

Don't put yourself there. That's my job.
I don't even have a top ten.
Is it possible to see a comparison with the ren shuttle and an actual Tie fighter/shuttle from ffg? Something tells me the ren shuttle is to small. It should be larger then the normal one. At least with the wings
Got Dat FO FO Transport done now too... for the glory!

We need some pics of those next to some FFG's ships!!!

I am going to do a little something this weekend when I can lay stuff out nice on the table. But for now... if you know how nice and cock-diesel the new FO FO TIE's are then you know about how big these Black Series FO FO's are. My Emotes are correct to the models scale.

Those emotes are really well done. How do you do it, JBR?

I take a good image of the ship, typically a real model, and run a few filters on it. Normally a High Contrast and Sharpen, then a Cartoon. Once that is done and the image is tiny and as close to being in scale as I can get it relative to the other ships in the corresponding size class, I literally paint by the pixel to restore the ships details. which get blurry after they have been reduced to their cute tiny size.
I takes about an hour per ship but I love to do it as part of the hobby-life. I plan to make battle videos this year and these little ship and pilot emotes will be used then as icon for the fleet-squadron layouts.

For my little STAR-PEEPS I just paint them freehand by the pixels.

I got some time to take a bunch of pictures and as requested here are some shots of the Black Series FO's with the FFG FO-FO's!

The Ren-Ride is a little small, but the scenes of these ships from the film look very close to the scale here in metal & plastic. The FO-FO Transports are right on, scale wise.
I am very happy to be able to play a full force (film wise) of the First Order... kinda neat ans right now!

Cool. They look great! I got one of the transports, but it is still in the box. Time to get it out and get a game on. What options and stats do you use? I know you said Lambda dial, but do you plan to use its stats too.

I am using the stats for a YT-1300. I know that might be a bit much, but keep in mind these mean little brutes are built to take hits as they get the troops into battle.

Not to badass but badass enough to be fun in the game. I also allow it to take two MODS and Turret options.

I like the Turret option(finally one for the Empire) but why two mods and which two?

I disagree.
There's supposed to be a pilot in that tower, remember?
And that tower is massively smaller than a TIE/fo, which is a single-pilot ship, so not all that large. Compare the landers tower with the size of the "eyeball" of the TIE and you either have a lander that's too small, or a surprisingly roomy TIE/fo with space to have a nice lounger and tv-set in the back...

I like two MODS for things like heavy missions in a hot LZ, and to give the ships options to help their TIE FO escorts.
The better cards being Accuracy Corrector for the low shot Primary Turret, and Tactical Jammers for obvious reasons.

It was discovered a few years ago that standard TIES are pretty roomy - the "cramped TIE" diagrams were based on a 6.3m length - but when they went back to the props, it ended up being 8.99m - which is why the Databank now uses that figure:
https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2012/7/16/the-making-of-x-wing-tm/
http://www.starwars.com/databank/tie-fighter
If you measure the TIE panel front to back, and then feed in the 1/270 scale, you get approximately 9m.
That's why Rebels TIEs look so roomy - they're based on that figure - with the side panels scaled down a bit to look more McQuarrie-ish, but with the ball cockpit remaining the same size.
As for the TIE/fo - they're pretty small: apparently they're 6.69m long (Incredible Cross Sections: The Force Awakens):
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TIE/fo_space_superiority_fighter
but the models in this game look only fractionally smaller than standard TIEs. Maybe it's a compromise - in order to avoid them being dwarfed by standard TIEs?
