Hobbie K turns gains stress and tl, tl then takes the stress?

I am in the camp that says yes but some people seem to think timing is wrong and he would be left with stress and tl (until he spends it)

So which is it?

The Targeting Astromech says 'After you perform a red maneuver...' Per the rules "When a ship executes a red maneuver, it receives one stress token."

When comes before after, so he has the stress when he gets the TL from the astro. So he'd discard it at that point.

Even if you wanted to argue that they happened at the same time, when ever you have two effects that trigger from the same event, you get to decide the order. So you could decide that you'll get the stress before triggering the targeting astromech.

When you acquire or spend a target lock, you may remove 1 stress token from your ship.

Targeting Astromech.

After you execute a red manoeuvre, you may acquire a target lock.

Stress is added at the check stress substep of the Execute Maneuver Step - so it happens during the execution of your maneuver (see page 4 of the Rules Reference)

The timing instruction for TA is AFTER you execute the maneuver.

So the stress is added - then TL acquired - then stress removed.

Better. He'll get the equivalent of 2 actions after executing ANY red maneuver, but no stress. Including the damage card that makes hard turns red.

Removal of stress, addition of TL, and perform action step are all after the execute maneuver step so would count as simultaneous would it not?

Not that it makes much difference

If the sequence is "Step A, Step B", then an effect whose timing is "after Step A" is strictly before Step B, not simultaneous to it.
