I've run this list in a store tournament with Determination in place of Crack Shot. I was 2-2 in that tournament, but I think Crack Shot would have eked me out another win (as would have chasing down the wounded):

Dace is a threat all by himself, but his ability to inflict an extra damage with an ion token also synergizes with IG-88A's Ion Cannon, giving some target ship two damage and an ion token.
With both of them able to ionize, they can set up a target ship for IG-88A to close up to range 1 and get 2 un-evadeable hits with his Autoblaster and Accuracy Corrector. IG-88A's mobility and Expert Handling can also lock in a range 1 shot. Expert Handling will give IG-88A a stress, so that shot might be unmodified, but with that combo, modifying the attack doesn't matter much.
IG-88A only has a front arc, but no one will want to be anywhere near him anyway because of the Hot Shot Blaster (which Acc. Corr. works with) and the Proton Bomb. And with Moldy Crow, Hull Upgrade, and a supply of focus tokens, Dace can survive pretty well and do work even through hard maneuvering (or as hard as the HWK can manage, anyway). Dace will eventually get whittled down, but opponents will keep their distance from him as well because of the risk of Dead Man's Switch.
Crack Shot, Ion Cannon Turret, and Dace's ability combine well because Crack Shot can make a barely-evaded attack hit, and Dace can turn that hit into two hits.
To help counter the meta, IG-88A has Expert Handling to deal with target-lock related effects and Autothrusters to deal with turrets. His survivability is also improved because if he kills a ship he gets a shield back, and Dace can use his ability to help secure that kill if the target ship only has two hull left.
So this is basically an area denial, "your skills are useless", and "how did you do that" list.
About the only useful change I could think of would be to replace Proton Bomb with something cheaper and use the extra points for a Shield Upgrade instead of a Hull Upgradeābut Proton Bomb is pretty scary, and this list is designed to be scary and cause the opponent to be too cautious.
