Without the original core set, there is no R2-D2.

How about this?

Poe Dameron (31) + BB-8 (2) + Cool Hand (1) +Integrated Astromech (0) [34]

Miranda Doni (29) + Twin Laser Turret (6) [35]

Ello Asty (30) + R5-X3 (1) [31]

TOTAL: 100

Not setting the world on fire, but its got some neat tricks.

Another combo I'd love to see work is Targeting Astromech + Cool Hand + Advanced Proton Torpedoes. With the Tallon Roll available, I'd think a T-70 should be able to pull it off pretty well. It'd be difficult to do but very rewarding.

thank you guys. what are some other builds you could make with the sets i have ?

How about:

Keyan Farlander (29)
Wired (1)
Ello Asty (30)
Cool Hand (1)
Targeting Astromech (2)
Integrated Astromech (0)
Miranda Doni (29)
Twin Laser Turret (6)
Advanced SLAM (2)
Total: 100
Keyan should be easy enough to stress with his dial, enabling Wired. After you've triggered Wired you can discard your stress when attacking.
Ello Asty is equipped for safety with the Targeting Astromech and Cool Hand, though he should be nasty enough in his own right.
Miranda, she's just going to put the hurt on.
You could also look to a build with a K-Wing with Jan Ors and something with Jake for instance.

thats interesting. thank you guys

These are all excellent list suggestions for what you have. A decent 4-ship list would also be possible:

100 points
Blue Squadron Pilot (22)
Prototype Pilot (15)
A-Wing (17), Chardaan Refit (-2)
Poe Dameron (34)
T-70 X-Wing (31), BB-8 (2), Cool Hand (1), Integrated Astromech (0)
Warden Squadron Pilot (29)
K-Wing (23), Twin Laser Turret (6)

i am really loving this community so far i really appriciate it

Just my own advice, get the original core set next. That will really expand what you can do.

why would the original core set be good to get

You get two TIE Fighters and another X-Wing (Luke Skywalker is amazing). Three more of each dice. Another set of templates. Proton Torpedoes. R2-D2 & R2-F2, both good cards. Its just a good value overall.

The original core will give you R2-D2 who can regenerate shields, making Poe or Luke really tough to take down. It also has Biggs who can protect your other ships.

Personally, I think you need more Elite upgrades. I believe Wired and Cool Hand are the only 2 you own. Imperial Aces comes with a few, so that's one you may consider, even though you are a Rebel Player. It comes with 2 copies of Push the Limit which lets you stress yourself to take a second action. A-wings love that card because of all the green maneuvers on their dial. You can also get Push the Limit from the regular A-wing expansion.

But just ignore us for now. With this game, your collection is never complete. It's important not to get caught up chasing ships and upgrades. Pace yourself and enjoy what you have. This game is more than just list-building; you also must consider ship placement, asteroid placement, and predict where your opponent is headed. A lot of people (myself included) jump to purchase suggestions to augment lists because it's the most concrete and calculated part of the game. Everything else is harder to discuss because so much of it depends on your opponent.

That makes a lot of sense. Thank you. I will orobally pick up the original core set next

And check the X-wing miniatures wikia, that way you can see what upgrades come in what pack so you can shop around better. :P.

Good choice. After that, just go find a group of people who like to play for fun, and just dive on in. Find what works and what doesn't. After a while you'll develop your own unique style of playing, then get ships and upgrades to match.

I play other table tops and I am more inclined to play two or so fast attack guys supported by a heavy hitter or a support guy? Any suggestions

Well, your A-wing is really fast, your B-wing is slow and tanky, and your X-wings fall in the middle. However, with the cards you have, it's tough to really make a heavy hitter since everyone fires about average (3 dice except for the A-wing). I think if you want to maximize firepower, go for 4 ships like Deepspace5 mentioned. If you want maneuverability, the A-wing is your pick.

However, if you want to do a support ship, the K-wing seems like a good bet. You could use Esege who allows friendly ships to use his focus tokens. You can put Jan Ors on him which allows friendly ships to take a focus token instead of an evade token. That means an enemy ship can evade and then still use focus for attack by using Esege's token. If you load Esege with bombs, it won't matter as much that he's not using focus for attack because he'll being dealing damage in alternative ways. Careful, though -- it could get expensive if you put too much stuff on Esege.

This is just something I threw together. It's not very fine-tuned and doesn't have a ton of synergy, but it has some.

Both awesome suggestions, the damage deck and rules booklet is now old and out-dated. So chuck those. However everything else is so worth getting. More chits to use, some more generic ships, some great named character cards for both rebel and imperial. the other range guide for your friend + their own movement templates.

To be honest. I just bought the original myself, at a discounted price, just to get the upgrade cards, R2-D2 was one of 'em.

ahh gotcha

could you scrap one t70 and put n poe in the other would tha be a good idea?
