For anyone in or around the State of Maine there will be a competitive level event hosted by Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Maine and Crusader Squadron on Sunday, January 17th at SnowCon in Bangor, Maine. (For more information on SnowCon please visit: http://snowconmaine.com/main/, WarHorn members can pre-purchase event passes and register online for this event.) Squadron list submission will start at 9am and end at 10:15am. 75 minute rounds will commence promptly at 10:45am and will continue throughout the day, pausing at 11am for a 1 hour lunch break. We will be following all current (in use as of 01/17/2016) FFG gameplay rules and FAQ rulings. Players are required to follow standard squad building rules to assemble a 100 point squadron. Round 1 pairings will be random, further rounds will follow FFG tournament rules. We will be distributing prize support from the FFG Winter 2015 tournament kit in addition to one official FFG Poe Dameron alternative art pilot card to each of the top four players.
The Awakening Tournament Prize Support: Top 16 players will receive a Gunner alternative art crew upgrade card. First place will receive the Slave I Winter 2015 Medallion, 1 alternative art Darth Vader, 1 set of 5 acrylic extra munition tokens, and 1 Millennium Falcon dice bag. Second place will receive 1 alternative art Darth Vader, 1 set of 5 acrylic extra munition tokens, and 1 Millennium Falcon dice bag. Third and Fourth place players will receive 1 set of 5 acrylic extra munition tokens and 1 Millennium Falcon dice bag. First, Second, Third, and Fourth place participants will also receive 1 FFG official Poe Dameron alternative art pilot card.
If you also would like to attend SnowCon on Saturday, January 16th and are looking to get some X-Wing Miniatures in we will be hosting several tables worth of space for pick-up matches and our Learn to Play: Let the Wookie Win furball (one small ship per player at a max of 33 squad points, team based deathmatch - see our facebook page for more info). Along with a FREE TO ENTER raffle. First prize is one original & one The Force Awakens core set. Second prize is choice of an original or a The Force Awakens core set. Third prize is whichever core set the second place winner did not choose.
