X-Wing Miniatures Game - Unreleased Ships Reference List

By FTS Gecko, in X-Wing

A couple more ships added. Contemplated arranging the list into alphabetical order, then lost the will to live.

The Banshee / Shadow Caster from Clone Wars & Rebels looks somewhat similar to the Scurrg in profile (especially the Shadow Caster) - I'm surprised there's not more information on these ships yet!

ship from Return of the Jedi:

We could have Etahn A'baht as a huge ship pilot :)

Moved from "Other" section to "Rebel Alliance" :)

how about the Clutch for scum and Villainy? http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Clutch_%28fighter%29

it doesn't have official art, but since the parts are all supposed to be re-purposed TIE fighter stuff, it shouldn't be hard to figure out what it would look like.

some of the pilots that could be included:

Tyresi Gurtt (the commander of 'bolt squadron')

Remart Sasyru (one of the better pirate pilots, member of Bolt squadron)
Jenos Idanian (actually Corran Horn, undercover)

Caet Shrovl (Shivastian, member of bolt squadron)

Timmser (member of bolt squadron)

and 4 squadrons for generics..

Bolt, Hawk, Slash, and Rock. in rough order of skill.

I, Jedi may not have been superb writing, but the Clutch and the Pirates under Tavira made for interesting reading, and would be a fun addition to the Scum faction. plus it would be an example of an 'ugly', yet also should look good enough to make people actually want to play it.

A couple more Nu-canon ships added (thanks rhs2042!)

Not sure it's a good idea to include the "uglies", or the TIE Experimentals. Or supervillains, Fuzzywookie.

The prequel ships.. maybe.

Far far far too much time on your hands, you should be masterminding your winning squad for store championships.

What's that Cygnus XG1 thing?

Never heard of it, I doubt we will ever see such an obscure craft make it into X wing

Already done mate, and it'll be taking you to school Thursday night. I'm gonna pull a maneuver that'll blow your mind.

If anything's missing, let me know and I'll add it...

FYI I'm not going to add links to the Force Awakens ships for the time being for the sake of spoilers.

Shadowcaster still isn't on this FULL list... any reason for that? Just wondering if there are ships you won't add to your list. I don't see the N-1 either.

If I miss it, forgive me.

The Banshee and Shadowcaster had a disc shaped hull and had engines where the Scurgg had cannons. The official references say "the Shadowcaster is a modified version of the type of ship that Ventress flew (Banshee)".

If you look another view of the Shadowcaster, you would see the big difference. I think that the ship that Ketsu flew and the Scurgg bomber are very different and must be included on any 'FULL' lists.

Simply put, there's very little information on the Shadow Caster around at the moment (manufacturer make/model/dimensions etc) - all we know about it officially so far is that it's a redesign of Asajj Ventress' Banshee which was due to appear in the Clone Wars before it the series was cancelled. There's also some speculation as to whether it's a variant of the Scurrg or not (some think it is, some think it isn't, certainly it has a very similar profile, but officially we need to wait for an answer), in which case it's already on the list.

As for the N1, as pointed out above, I'm still not sure whether I'm going to include the prequel-era ships as that's another forum hot topic (and yes, I know that it saw service during the Rebellion era and beyond in the EU).

I just thought it was a full lists of ships that might make it into the game- you even some that don't have any weapons. So I just figured you would include the newest canon ships, with or without complete stats like the way you have EVERY type of unreleased Imperial ship possible.

Edit: you know... the Shadow Caster is on FFG's short list.

Absolutely. Rebels is going to be a big source of ships for FFG over the next couple of waves, I imagine.

Have added as "Black Sun Dropship" (which is pretty much all the information that's currently available on the ship from the Rebels wiki), pending further details.

in the novel the Clutch was presented less like your typical Ugly, and more like just a variant TIE being built for sale to pirates and such. there is nothing to indicate that it was being made from junk. it's even called "custom designed" when introduced, compared to the way the author refers to the uglies that appear in his books (where he tends to use the word "cobbled together" or "improvised") the fact it used TIE parts was implied to just be due to the TIE fighter being readily available (the line being "after hydrogen and stupidity, the most common thing in the universe"). and certainly they seemed to be standardized, with hundreds of the things in use by that particular pirate alliance.

they were basically TIE's with basic shields and an Ion cannon.

stats wise i could see them having TIE/fo type stats, and just having a Cannon slot added to the normal. model wise you could make them easy using a TIE defender type ball cockpit (with the small side windows added)and slightly cut down pylons, and stick half a panel from a TIE fighter onto each. (sliced on a diagonal, giving you a asymmetrical and vaguely dagger like shape.)

Awesome! Thanks for this!

Give me the Gunboat or give me death!

Thanks Hrudgar, the HLAF is indeed a sweet looking ship! I've added both to the "other" section, alongside the rest of the CEC ships.

A bit of rearranging done and I've added links for the Force Awakens ships. I think I'm going to add the prequel ships under their own section as well, for completionist's sake.

Well, I was planning on adding the prequel ships... but then I realised I have no idea what factions to file them under.

"The Dark Side.... and the Light...

...and Trade Negotiations!"

I think either new factions or clones go both ways Droids are dark and Jedi are light

Shadow Droids for the Imperials Would be fun
