Bad villains. Deja vu. Good movie.
My six-word review of TFA
The movie was overhyped and underwhelming
Four redone, I'm not ten anymore.
Old man with beard triggers nerdgasm.
(This review's just) six words long.
Edited by Blackbird888Great movie, on par with prequels.
That's like saying "Great food, on par with mud."
Mine would be...
"Star Wars, remixed by Captain Lensflare."
Edited by MaxKilljoyStar Wars returns, last DeathStar please! (EVER!)
I will quote BB2 on this one :
They see me rollin', they hatin'
Yes, yes, of course, because anyone who doesn't like something is just "a hater". ![]()

Yeah, are we 13 year old girls now? 'Haters'. Seriously?
Funny thing is, I've not seen any review or comment on here that 'hated' the film. The 'negative' reviews or comments aren't actually negative, they just say that it was average or that the hype is overblown.
(I felt it was too bland, too safe, for anyone to 'hate'. I'd assume the only people who really hated it were those who were heavily invested in the EU stuff like Jaina that's now been invalidated).
I gave it a solid 5/10; it entertained me for a rainy afternoon, I'm glad I saw it and I'm happy that I'll never need to see it again.
It did exactly what Disney intended it to do - bring 'Star Wars' back to the forefront of popular culture and drive its massive merchandise empire. Job done there.
As a piece of film... I thought it was okay, on a par with 'Jupiter Ascending' and so many modern sci-fi films. I doubt it would get all these rhapsodic reviews without 'Star Wars' plastered all over it. We shall see; the prequels were not 'hated' in their day, only as modern revisionism. I have the feeling that time and perspective may not be kind to 'Force Awakens' when the media hype dies off, but we shall see.
I still find it funny that the number of opening weekend tickets got beat by a japanese anime.
sweet! Wich one?
I want to know as well

I'm told Ip Man 3 beat out Star Wars. Though that's neither Japanese nor an anime.

(If i don't do things myself, nothing gets done)
I looked it up: It's Yo-kai watch*
* Pokemon with japanese folklore monsters ![]()
It kinda makes sense I don't think SW is as huge in japan as it is over here and yo-kai watch is the new hotness after all.

Protip: when discussing Mons series, saying "It's just Pokemon but with X" is something you don't do.

And... I don't care.
Six word review: Legends novels still have better stories!
More in-depth review: JJ Abrams did a fantastic job with what he had. Overall I liked the movie and would recommend it to anyone who likes Star Wars or scifi in general. The story line was way to similar to "Episode IV: A New Hope" to wow me. Overall I'd give it between a 7-8 out of 10.
Literal Star Wars: Sun Powered Laser.
