While the exact start time has not been decided as of yet, I'm hoping to start in early January. We will likely be hosting it over a 4 week period. This number may change if participation is high enough to require more rounds. I encourage anyone who can make it to attend. I used to work at the Target right down the street from Gamers Sanctuary but never discovered the place until just before I moved up to the tri-city area. I may have to make the drive down, work schedule permitting.

I just bought my first core set today and am wanting to get into x-wing. I don't live far from Gamers Sanctuary so I will be coming by to check it out in January for sure

So, we will be starting the league on Sunday, January 10th! It's official! We will be meeting up at the store at 6 pm, though you're welcome to show up a bit early if you'd like. We will have a sign up sheet, and there will be an explanation of the league rules, rounds, and seeding. The league will play for a minimum of 4 weeks. We had a very successful game day today, with SIX new players all flying for the first time and loving every minute of it! I'm so happy to have new players like this!

Games will be standard 100 point squads. While players are free to play as many games as they can fit into the evening, only the first game they play will count for their league score.

Several players have mentioned that they may not be able to make it that night, and there are also early reports that the roads may be very dangerous. If this appears to be the case, I'm going to postpone the opener. I hate to do it but I don't want anyone in danger.

I am going to postpone the opener until Sunday, January 17th. I can't say who might show up, some people may brave the weather but I for one won't be. My car doesn't do so great with ice.

OK. FINAL. Final pushback. I was informed by our FLGS owner that there is to be a MTG prerelease tournament there all weekend, and they're stripping the large game tables to make more room for card tables. So the new date will be Sunday, January 24th at 6 p.m. I'm sorry to people who might feel jerked around, believe me I'm right there with ya.

AHHHMYGOD IT'S FINALLY TODAY I'M SO EXCITED!

I live an hour North of Flint, went to a Red Wings game last night (lost 4-3), home after midnight, was here at work early and going straight there from work when I get out.

I should get there a few minutes before 6. Gonna be a long day but will be worth it.

Yeah Phil, we had 15 people. I know last year you were a bit reserved about coming by regularly because of the lack of an X-Wing scene. But this time we've all been getting lots of new players into the game, so that won't be the case! I'll have to figure out a way to get people integrated, people who will be coming into the game a bit late.
