Okay, this title is better suited for Sabine the Pilot, but I really wanted to discuss Sabine the Crew tonight.

Y'know. The Rebel Bomberlady.

Johnny Reb has a HWK, a B-Wing, an Attack Shuttle, K-Wing, VCX-100, and the YT-1850±550, with crew availability. These now have the opportunity for Superbombs!

Looking at these, I want superbombs in multiples, to help justify her cost.

Extra Munitions can be put on the B, Shuttle, K, and VCX.

Alternatively, use Cluster Mines, which comes in multiples all alone.

HWK, K, Attack, and B have the ability to throw on an Ion Turret, which also improves the effectiveness of your bombs, though it makes you very expensive.

Does she have a place yet?

A Warden Squadron K-Wing with Sabine, Conner Net, Extra Munitions, and Advanced Slam will be Soontir Fel's worst nightmare. Add other bombs and squadmates to taste.

Remember, the +1 damage works with any friendly bomb, so her ride isn't really forced to be your primary bomber.

I like the note about how she works on any bomb. What about some sort of HWK and 3 TLT Y-wings....with bombs. Oh, there is the R1 donut hole....Boom!

I just thought of that! Excellent idea. Wish there was a way to get more than one bomb out of her on it, though. Maybe Ordnance Tubes and then EM? Seems a lot for just 2 bombs, though.

If you're already using missiles and torpedoes it's basically two points for an extra bomb. Not too bad.

It does take up a Hardpoint, though.

I don't think it's that important to even put her on Miranda. I think a Warden with Advance Slam is the way to go. You can put those templates anywhere.

That's a big chunk of points, but you're fast as hell, and basically breaking all the rules for how attacks normally happen.

Maybe better, way more fun:

Stuff can probaby be cut back, but I'm not sure which is important and which is just nice. Anyway, on the opening exchange, you launch a couple Focus/TL Homing Missiles to take some initial problem ships off the board. From then on, you SLAM around, dodging arcs, dropping bombs and mines, and harassing with that Prototype Pilot.

Against low PS stuff, it's:

1.) Homing Missile Salvo

2.) SLAM away from greatest threat, dropping Seismics or leaving Mines to hamper pursuit

3.) Run away and reacquire TL

4.) Repeat 1-3

5.) Clean up.

Against high PS stuff, it's:

1.) Homing Missile Salvo

2.) Slam to drop Connor Net, then drop a Seismic next turn as the Ace drifts after the Net hits.

3.) Either runaway and reacquire TLs (going to 1.)), or stay close and get autohits with more Prox Mines and Connor Nets.

4.) Clean up.

Go read Extra Munitions again. It gives you a token on every bomb, torpedo, and missile upgrade that you put on the ship. The two points for Extra Munitions get to be a better value with the more slots you fill.

Right, but that's 2 bonus damage if you have a template not on an enemy when you drop them, and 1 on.

Ideal placement is one of the sides being on a ship, the other side being in front of a ship, and the middle being unmolested for later...

She's gonna be utterly rediculous in HotAC. My friend and I are 6 games in to a campaign.

He's in a Bwing now and planning to get Sabine. I'm in a Y-wing with Extra Munitions, Seismic, and Proton. We feel like a bunch of dirty terrorists.
