Not sure I understand dark side users

By leo1925, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

I am not sure I understand the rules for dark side PC users, so let's see if I got it correct:

A light side user generates force points from light side pips with no cost and has the option to use the dark side pips by flipping a destiny point and suffering strain and conflict (on a one for one basis).

A dark side user generates force points from dark side pips by flipping a destiny point and suffering conflict and has the option to use the light side pips by flipping a destiny point and suffering strain.

If a dark side user wants to use both dark and light side pips he has to flip 2 destiny points and suffer both conflict and strain.

Did I get everything correctly?

Dark side users never need to flip 2 destiny- They get dark pips, taking conflict to ward off the lure of the light side, and can flip a single destiny to be able to add light side for 1 stress a pip.

Conflict comes from using dark side points, regardless of which type of force user you are.

If you want to use pips of the opposite type to your own you pay the Destiny Point and strain cost. You never need to spend them to use your own pip type.

Ok, thank you guys.

Keep in mind, even if Dark side players want to flip a destiny token, they still only use the white tokens.

Black tokens are always for GM use.

Had to drill that into my players because they at one point thought it would be beneficial to have 1 party member go dark side to always flip black destiny over to white.
