Latts razzi

By Aresxero, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hi, I've recently bought the yv 666 and was thinking that latts seems pretty fun to build a list around.

The current list I have so far is this

Latts razzi (41)

Borsk

R4 security droids

Weapons engineer

2x cartel spacer (20 each)

Heavy styk

Mangler cannon

Cartel spacer (19)

Heavy styk

Ion cannon

I haven't got the styks yet but was wondering if this list was worthwhile, or whether there is a better was to make the best use of latts' ability

Thanks for any feedback

You are on the right track, however you need to maximize your Latts Razzi potential. For me, what I did was have a squad of 3 ships, one with a higher PS than Latts, and one lower. (An example list on the bottom of the post). Why? Well with his ability you perform a target lock and get two of them with Weapons Engineer. That allows your ships with a higher PS to have the target lock. Latts then hopes to NOT do damage - never spend any focus or target lock or anything for your first attack - trigger Bossk, and then have two target locks and a focus available to use. With Gunner you can then spend that new focus to attack and STILL have a target lock for your last ship.

Laetin A'shera (27)

Heavy Scyk

HLC

Latts Razzi (49)

Bossk

Weapons Engineer

Gunner

Glitterstim

Engine Upgrade

Cartel Spacer (23)

Heavy Scyk

HLC

The basis for this list is simple. Do as much damage as possible with each shot. Having HLC's with 4 potential damage vs a ship with 1 reduced Agility makes them VERY deadly. Sure, they are the ultimate in glass cannon, but are fun none the less!

The M3 A are really, really squishy, and only 3 is not a lot. I have played the YV-666 in tournament, and have learnt that he fies really quickly from focused fire. What you should do is building a list where the other ships are way more dangerous than Latts herself. You could try with Guri, who looks terrifying with Advanced Proton Torpedoes.

Cheers, might try that out, didn't think about ps shinanigans when I built it but sounds fun.

Wonder if changing it out to a styk with hlc and try to get talon bane cobra in.

Also do you think latts is good to put the nashtar pup on, just to keep his ability kicking around a bit longer?

Where'd you get the Bothan card?

With Gunner you can then spend that new focus to attack and STILL have a target lock for your last ship.

Latts' ability can only occur once per round though.

The ability and faq don't say that though, faq only says about once per target, so can't be used on the second attack for tlt or cluster missiles bit nothing about one per round so it can go off multiple times per round

Oh sorry you are right, didn't check what I was saying but I was pretty sure of it, but I am definitely wrong.

i'm testing this squad with latts:

yv-666 pilot: latts razzi

upgrade: Bossk, K4 security droid, weapons engeneer, maneuvering fins

M3-A interceptor pilot: Tansarii point veteran

upgrade: predator, heavy scyk interceptor, mangler cannon, stealth device

M3-A interceptor pilot: Tansarii point veteran

upgrade: predator, heavy scyk interceptor, mangler cannon, stealth device

i played 4 games with this squad. 3 wins and a draw.

A latts build that went fantastically for me (though it was a 3 way game):

Latts

-Weapon Engineer

-Hound's Tooth

Talonbane Cobra

-Swarm Tactics

-Hull Upgrade

Syndicate Thug

-Twin Laser Turret

-Unhinged Astromech

-BTL title

After playing I would probably drop the hull upgrade and hound's tooth to give talonbane an engine upgrade and maybe beef the ships up with the remaining points.

Basically what I did though was kept the Y-wing and Talonbane together so that he could use swarm tactics on the Y-wing. Just a little behind them was Latts so he could get the target locks up. Turning a PS2 Y-wing with the title and TLT into PS9 meant that I was sending out a fair chunk of damage right at the top of the round. The title allowed me to do a primary attack before firing up the TLT. Essentially I cut a swath of destruction and I'd say this list wasn't even fully optimized.

How have Maneuvering Fins worked for you? Has it been useful? I'd be more inclined to use Inertial Dampeners, but I really want Maneuvering Fins to be worth it.

haven't needed them yet.

i had 1 point left and i took the upgrade, but i think it can be useful if the opponent wants to block your move.

I played in a bigger game the other day and had both the fins and dampers on the yv, didn't use the fins but the dampers were good as you can do 2 stops after each other, seemed to help when there is an ace behind you
