Thank you BioPhysical for finally shutting Kelvan up about his stupid Horton Salm, seriously Kelvan the guy already has predator what would you do if you had one anyway. An EPT? An EPT? You can't handle an EPT!

We live in a world with upgrade slots, and those slots must be assigned to cards by men who write the rules.

But if he ever wins Worlds... you KNOW what he is going to ask for...

So the last tournament I went to I brought Latts Razzi and N'dru with cluster missiles. Sable I feel your pain on the new faq.

A trip to epcot, I said we should go Disney land but no he wants to drink.

Hobojesus, you get me.

Seriously, it was pretty cool to be interviewed by the S&V guys. When I first started this game about a year and a half ago, S&V was the podcast that came up when I was trying to get my competitive game going and I've liked it ever since. I thought it was super-cool that the podcast (or its host, at least) was out of KC, my hometown. I was hoping to meet Kelvan at the KC regional this year and say "hello", but he had to go and get married.

Pfft under the thumb already.

I finally was able to finish the rest of the episode, and I think I like that Vessery/Omega Leader/Whisper list better than you guys. I'm not as sold on Whisper being as initiative dependent as the podcast seemed to.

A look at two scenarios:

Scenario 1:

Let's say you're fighting against a list with Soontir and he taks initiative to shoot first:

Vessery and Omega leader are already pretty good "herders", in that Soontir doesn't want to get shot by them at all. Omega Leader prevents him from using all his tokens and autothrusters, and kills one green success, so he's a must-dodge arc. Vessery has a high likelyhood of putting out 3 hits each turn, so he's no cake-walk, even if he's not as bad as OL for Soontir. If the player does it right, Soontir is probably down an action, maybe two, dodging the other two squad members. Whisper also has a chance to dodge Soontir's arc because she moves after him, even if she's only got a Barrel Roll. She can play for a close-range engagement (aided by the Intel Agent empowering the decloak) to make that Barrel Roll work better.

Scenario 2:

Fel gives initiative away to move last:

In this case, he's forced to dodge 3 pretty nasty arcs, and Whisper has a really high chance of either blocking him for the other two, or firing first and cloaking with ACD.

Of course, there's another 65 points behind Soontir to consider, but I don't see one of the above scenarios as so important that you've got to drop the Intel Agent to make a bigger bid. Additionally, FCS at PS9 works wonders for Vessery. If you take Whisper away and replace her with Soontir, Vessery moves from being a heavy hitter to being a lot less impressive. A high PS, actionless Target Lock goes a long way to getting the most out of Vessery.

Well, Determination would be nice...

I haven't gotten to listen to this one in full yet, but I've definitely enjoyed the way the scum and villainy podcast brings in the community.

But now the he messed up I have an excuse for my mess ups....lol

I'm currently working on a list that includes the attack shuttle without Ghost. I figure Zeb is a little stronger than a blue would be. To me the hard part is A wing and Hawk or a Z and a Gold?

========== New 5 Ship ==========

w/ full streshog 100 points Pilots ------

Prototype Pilot (15) x 2 A-Wing (17), Chardaan Refit (-2)

Gold Squadron Pilot (26) Y-Wing (18), BTL-A4 Y-Wing (0), R3-A2 (2), Twin Laser Turret (6)

Rebel Operative (22) HWK-290 (16), Twin Laser Turret (6)

“Zeb” Orrelios (22) Attack Shuttle (18), Chewbacca (4)

Is Zebbacca better than a T-7065 with IA and a 1 point astromech, though?

Edit: Yes, probably.

Man, Chewbacca is just fantastic on those small-base ships with a crew. Imagine a Phantom with a card like that.

In regards to the list, you're getting something that moves a little different, but has largely the same firepower and movement as a B-wing. I'm not sure I like the change, honestly, because when facing something that outmaneuvers it, the B can bank a Target Lock for when it finally gets a good shot. Also, you're giving up the activation flexibility from having the same PS with the stresshog, operative, and B-wing.

I just can't make myself like Zeb. A pilot ability that can only maybe get used once per game is Fel's Wrath quality. Chewie is an awesome crew but he already essentially blocks up to 2 crits at once, he hardly needs Zeb to impress.

I think if you want a cheap shuttle Ezra w/ PtL and Nien Nunb is only 2 points more. Really tough to fit in your list though as it's pretty tight as-is. I'm a Z-95 man, myself, so my take would be:

12: Bandit

13: Tala

26: Y-wing w/ TLT, R3-A2, BTL-A4

24: Ezra w/ PTL, Nien Nunb

25: Roark w/ TLT

You lose your lovely lovely A-wings but you get some tricks out of it. Ezra is a nuisance, a cheap, efficient nuissance. And Roark can allow whoever has the best shot shoot first. No lovely A-wings though :(

Anyway thanks for another episode, I'm gonna have to re-read the imperial veterans article, that was too much for my feeble brain to process!

Zeb is flown simply because he's the cheapest, not for his ability. I like where your head is at with this list although I'm not sure I'd fly a shuttle without chewbacca. Also Awings are life!

Ya Zeb might as well be treated as a generic pilot, being the lowest priced Attack shuttle. Obviously you can't run him in multiples, but you aren't running any of the attack shuttle pilots in multiples, so he is as close as you are gonna get.

Great Cast as usual. Hey someone said you mentioned the Tie Defender Fix:

FFG used my fix exactly as listed: Just wanted to clear that up

Glad all this defender talk is being spawned now. I have been flying Two Delta's with ions and Vader or a Sigma for a while now. These new fixes just make them stronger.
