Doesn't look too bad. I might glue some peg-males into the docking clamp cavity if there's space so that we can bypass the clamps IF bombers.
[Pic] Bombers on the Gozanti (work around)
Hmm...FFG should have made seperate docking-clamps for bombers.
I did that too, it doesn't look too bad, but kind of sad they didn't think about since they mention "BOMBERS"
Why not try some velcro tape?
Magnets!
While I can see why you'd want to have them like this on display, what's the real point in-game? You'll have to potentially mark the position of the Gozanti while you pull them off, not to mention if other ships are tight in that you want to get the drop on while deploying you might have to move them out of the way. Seems convoluted when positioning can make all the difference in this game.
Why not just have the models off to the side and clearly state to your opponent what's docked? This isn't really a new concept for table-top strategy games but it's very new to X-Wing and looks cool so I kinda get it, but I seriously doubt mine will ever fly into battle with the ships embarked and not ready to go on the side.

Good point for Epic Tournament Meta; save time by not loading the Docking Clamps. But if it's just casualEpic, Im of the opinion that time/effort spent on fielding an epic 300pt game should carry over to seeing the actual Loadout in_play. With no timer, there is not reason to half-step it. And what about multi-Gozanti? Some with Carrier and some with Crew/Support.
This really is a matter of timed_match or not.

I'm playing with some discrete puddy/tack for the bombers. Will post results.
How's the ship look with the Bombers on their stands just sitting on the base? Do they fit under it with only a single peg for height?
Not bombers but played an epic casual xmas day with 4 TIE docked. One hand steadies the Gozanti the other twists the clamps off no movement at all.
If you also add Ordnance Tubes and TIE Bombers, the Gozanti could deploy... Fire its own Cluster Missiles... And watch (4) Bombers also unload Cluster Missiles. I know it's largely unmodified, but this is some incredible Fire-power!

One of the Bombers is Jonus...Modification issue fixed.
I'm in the process of repainting a B-Wing, no stripping or primer, and I noted that a lot of the factory paint, mostly the grey, rubbed off as I handled the mini to get all the awkward angles.
Now, I got an assault carrier for myself for christmas/birthday, and I'm a bit concerned about how much I have to handle the TIEs to get the onto and then off off the clamps when attaching and detaching. Pulling on the wings is, of course, a terrible idea. Don't want them snapping off. And that means gripping the body, and digging them out of the clamps. The wash they used might actually protect them from paint getting rubbed off, might not.
So I plan to not actually dock my TIEs physically, just place them next to the ship card.
Not that it is going to be esthatically pleasing, but might the docking clamps fit over the cockpit of the bomber?
I do realize this will make them hanging underneath the gozanti vertically.... :S

The bomb-dropper appendage on the Bomber is the reason the clamps don't fit.

Somebody is reading my mind here! The clamps should be directly over the cockpit as that is how the pilots gain entry. Hence, magnetizing the bombers will see the magnet in that location instead of the peg location.
My Gozantis are due to arrive Tues, then I will begin work on magnetizing the clamps and small ships!

I never play competitively, all my matches are friendly and no timer has ever been used. That being said, the better organized our games are and the faster they go the more games we have the potential of playing in a day.
If you have multiple Gozanti's with different loadouts then why not use the numbers for marking ships and maybe even set those cards together so you know which ones are where. If you only have two Gozanti ships you could even use the light/dark side of the numbers to help you, if more you could take note on a piece of paper next to your play area. It's all about what makes you happy, since this is a hobby/game, it just seems cumbersome to me.
Maybe after 20+ years of table-top wargaming I'm a bit used to this notion of transports and units embarked on them not being physically noted in the play area, but I still don't see the actual need to have them attached to the Gozanti for gaming purposes unless it's just to make you (or whoever is playing of course) happy.
