I need a good Decimator and Phantom build. I don't have Rebel Captive or Darth Vader. I made a good Decimator and Soontir build. But I have no idea how to make a good Phantom/Decimator squad.
Decimator and Phantom
I think that the big problem you'll run into is that Phantom's run very expensive, and to make a good Devimator, you generally want to spend quite a few points.
Example
Whisper (32)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Fire Control System (2)
Advanced Cloaking Device (4)
Gunner (5)
That's already 46 points.
The cheapest Decimator is a Patrol Leader for 40, but then not sure how you'd outfit it.
At that point I may just do
Commander Kenkirk (44)
Ysanne Isard (4)
Ruthlessness (3)
That's 97 points total.
Then you have 3 points left, either for an initiative bid, or for another upgrade to the Decimator. Up to you.
But, might not be the best list. With this list, for example, beware of Ruthlessness. If you target something close to your phantom, and far from everything else, you've made a mistake.
So, might be better to try and get a Palpatine,if you can grab him. Then you could only run Palpatine though, without even Ysanne to help back him up on the ship. Maybe drop Jerjerod on there instead? I dunno, I'm grasping at straws here.
Or, use an Engine Upgrade and Push The Limit instead of Ruthlessness to gain a supremely maneuverable Decimator that can act at PS 13 (at the beginning of the combat round, triggering off of Ysanne's Evade), and then you get to evade even enemy Aces. This makes your Decimator more durable, as you can dodge arcs and get your bonus evade and agility when the chips are down.
