Made an electronic turn counter with sound effects

By comatose, in Star Wars: Armada

The components are an Arduino Yun, a USB/Bluetooth Millenium Falcon speaker from iHome, and a USB to headphone jack converter. You press one button to advance the counter and another to go back just in case you press it too many times. I might add another button for playing random pew-pew sounds if the mood strikes before our next game day. ;)

Hmmmm if a smaller one is possible I think I would buy

Selling is tricky since I can't sell Star Wars sound effects. I could sell all the other parts with instructions on how to add sound. Most likely I'll just write up instructions and share the code for anyone that wants to make their own.

Free to share code is perfect. Now how do we make this smaller?

Getting it as small as the Arduino is pretty easy. That's about as big as a deck of playing cards. Is that small enough? The Falcon is a key thematic piece, but you could replace it with just about any USB or headphone jack speaker.

Hmmmm anyway to encase it so that all that is seen is the buttons and lights?

Sound effects for Armada, X wing and Imperial Assault would just be awesome. Got some on my cell phone but their not that great. A real solid dedicated device with built in speakers would be worth money.

Looks good, but why aren't the turn symbols, or the text, blue and red for squadron activations? Or, are they and I couldn't tell from the video?

Seems like someone could probably make an app

They aren't because I just used a random OLED screen I had. It only does on or off with a yellow area at the top and blue area on the bottom three-quarters.

Bah, that's not as fun and is going to use a lot more battery than you probably want with your phone since you'll likely want to leave it on the whole time. :)
