The prices are falling! the prices are falling!

Well, some preorders for stuff coming out jumped, but their prices for current stock are still low. They're out of Scyks, though. who knows?

I ordered yesterday $300 of games online, maybe $230 of that being x-wing. Glad I got the real discount of 35%. from Cool stuff and Miniature Market. End of an era.

Geniunely curious here - you said in another thread you had spent $3500, what else did you buy?

I ask as I have "only" spent $1100 and am struggling what what to add to a $78 order to get to free shipping...

Kihraxz is a tad over 7 USD at CSI. Cheap crackshots, and a squad of 5 marauders is not so bad.

So, without wanting to play into this paranoid suspicion that's running rampant but CSI have now stopped allowing pre-orders for the Inquisitor's TIE (actually pulled it from my cart) so I hopped over to MM where the prices are still shockingly and delightfully low and I just put in my Wave 8 pre-order and picked up a few other bits and pieces (sleeves and the like) that I don't need but got me to free shipping. And a ho, ho, ho to you too!

[again, if I had an LGS that I ever went to then I may feel differently about this but, I don't, so I don't]

Yeah, noticed the TAP went from "pre-order" to "out of stock" at CSI ; I was wondering if they got some in. (IA Return to Hoth expansions showing "out of stock" and they were *just* released into the wild.) T-70s and TIE/FOs also out of stock ... which annoys me, since my wife gave me a CSI gift certificate and now a bunch of things I would have ordered are either unavailable or in an unknown status.

Then you can order 50 USD worth of stuff, pay roughly the same amount in shipping (meaning double price), then pay a federal import tax of 60% over everything (including shipping, gasp), and a state tax of about 30% (in my state it is 36,6%), and - gasp again - over everything, product and shipping (4x the original cost, folks!).

Depending on how much you are buying, it is certainly a possibility. But the Brazilian currency lost a lot of face value against the US Dollar in the last 6 months or so, thus people here are not importing much at all (or traveling to the US - or anywhere else, for that matter).
