Well, I was going to a get a bunch of stuff in person and its ended a day early for whatever reason.
Bleh. Anyone know what the future will look like? Is the Asmodee merger shutting down the 33% off online sales or just saying that they can't put it on sale for even further?
There is a 10+ page thread on the front page with a very lively discussion but right now, no one really knows.
I'm just glad I managed to nail a cheap core for xmas eve as all of this was reaching its expected and anticlimatic outcome.

I'd say wait until sometime closer to midnight local times for the shops going into the 25th, or the 26th. They may just need/want time to get their Boxing Day sales set up and organized.
Some of the items stopped being on sale yesterday too, had to do a double take at my cart I'd been finalizing as the prices changed for some items.
I Threw a $9.99 TIE Punisher into an order with 2 Force and Destiny books while the deals lasted.
The Ghost jumped up 8 bucks, so I'll take a pass on that. The Imperial Veterans preorder jumped up like 3 bucks before I ordered, but I still managed to get a 2nd Hound's Tooth for 18 bucks before shipping, but it is in a batch with preorders so who knows when I'll see it. I'm annoyed they ran out of Inquisitor's TIE preorders. I'll have to get it off Amazon or something.
Anyway, that's the thing, Online retailers don't have unlimited stock. I bought a T-70 X-wing as a present at a local store. That store has no business problems, they're huge and make tons of moola, so they sell at a little discount. The other LGSes in town don't carry much X-wing stock and sell it at full msrp.

I ordered yesterday $300 of games online, maybe $230 of that being x-wing. Glad I got the real discount of 35%. from Cool stuff and Miniature Market. End of an era.

It is a difference of $20 or $30 on ships like the Ghost or Raider. $10 on ships like the Starviper and Punisher when they are on sale.
The difference of price in the rpg books can be $10-$15.
Fill a cart with X-wing and RPG books while buying for yourself and/or presents for others and it becomes a difference of $100-150 easy. And then there is sales tax, depending where you live. In parts of Tennesse, 10%, so you are looking at $12-20 more on combined purchases.
Making sure some other jackholes have a place to play Warhammer or Warmachine (which is all I see on tables and they buy everything online too!) is not my concern, I'm not in the charity business, and charity goes against my religion anyway.

Edited by BojanglezHmm looks more like strictly x wing is around $2500 actually. With Armada and Imperial Assault core and all waves its up past $3500 in the FFG star wars empire.
For your last $78... not sure to recommend it would be based on what you bought. I bought enough of all factions for my friends and family to play anything in a game. 100 points of every ship covers that pretty good.
Be sure to get the epic ships and a couple most wanted if you can.
