So, in Return to Hoth, the command card Negation. Thats totally Mara Jade. I mean, come on, its gatta be. Purple light-saber, red hair, Emperor's hand black outfit, and using the force on a poor rebel trooper. Perhaps I'm seeing just what I want to see, perhaps its a nod by the creators over at FFG to the OT or perhaps Mara is still a thing, and we will get her in a later expansion?

I would post a picture, but I couldn't find one online and lack the technology. Perhaps someone else who has RtH can help?

Yeah, thats the one. Thanks for finding it. I didn't know she was in X-wing. Would be sweet if they had an Imperial, Scum, and Rebel version of her, since she technically fits into all of them at some point

IA largely uses art already created for the SW:LCG, XWing and the SW RPG. I wouldn't take this as an indication that she will appear soon or at all.

My guesses for the next two Big-Box expansions would be a ROTJ based expansion, and then TFA expansion. Granted I think an EU expansion would rock, I think it's more likely that if we get EU characters they'll be one-shots. And that is cool too!

I'll take what I can get. I would be nice if us long term fans could gets some love too, even if it is one shots like hero packs and maybe a mission book like they put out for Decent.

Still the chance that Mara ISN'T EU...

I don't see why people are so against Mara Jade (and other EU) being in the game when we already HAVE EU in the game. We have RGC, HKs, the tank, etc. Those are all EU.

In fact, its more likely (and I definitely hope) that we'll see Mara Jade and other EU characters before TFA stuff. The empire and rebellion don't exist in TFA. They are completely different factions.

Mara could be included in a RotJ expansion. She was undercover as a dancer in Jabba's palace after all.

Well, one can hope at least. Would be fantastic. Heck, as long as they keep the general character, she doesn't need to follow the novels story line. I'd settle for "Inquisitor" Jade, instead of "Emperor's Hand".

Pretty sure she is still non-canon. I haven't seen or heard her referenced in anything that is now considered cannon.

I have to admit I have mixed feelings about putting her in the game. I love the character but I would prefer if they kept legends stuff out of the games as much as possible.

As of right now she is still non-canon. Though I suspect seeing as she is the most highly rated /popular EU character in general we will see her added back in some shape or form at some point. And I would love to see her added to the game, though there is a rumor I heard on Boardgamegeek that FFG isn't supposed to use EU stuff at the moment/going forward. But that is only a rumor and could be complete B.S.

Not saying you didn't hear that, but I can't believe that would be the case. The content in all the Star Wars games would be crippled if they were limited to purely canon sources (Force & Destiny could never exist in it's current form for example, nor would many X-Wing & Armada ships).

It is a rumor, I believe it was in the Asmodee business plan changes either the first or the second. That said it is a rumor I hope is untrue.

Mara Jade would fit perfectly in the new idea of "inquistors" no longer is she a special snowflake force sensitive but one of many.

I think there's a difference between unique, distinctly EU characters and things closely based off things in the EU and that they don't intend on doing the former. I would argue that the fact that the RGC is not Carnor Jax is evidence in favor of this. I wouldn't be bothered at all by bringing in Mara Jade but I would be somewhat surprised if it happened. What they might do is have an 'inquisitor' figure that basically looks like her but with a hood obscuring her hair and face.
