I know double regen lists have been available and used by Rebels for some time now - most notably by Nathan Eide at this year's Worlds - but how do people feel about the release of Red Ace?
With Autothrusters, R2D2, Comm Relay, this could very well be the most durable small-base ship for Rebels.
What would you run alongside Red Ace and Poe [VI, AT, R5-P9]? Do you foresee Red Ace & Poe replacing Corran Horn & Poe combos?

swap PTL with VI on Poe and get something better than the B-Wing. Or, if you're set on the B-Wing, Poe gets better mileage out of Predator. PTL stresses him and without a way to remove that stress Poe is less effective. In my experience he doesnt need that second action nearly as much as he needs to not be stressed. I play nothing but T-70s, at all, so this is some of the knowledge i've collected so far.
The problem with Red Ace and why i dont fly her is that she's expensive. Not the base pilot, i'm talking the upgrades to get her to her full effectiveness. She costs less to properly outfit than Ello Asty does, but that's the price you pay for durability. R2-D2 and Comm Relay cost a combined 7 points. Tack that onto her 29 point cost, and costs more than PTL-BB-8 on Ello Asty. She can be made to work, but... She needs too much to be effective.

This list falls into a particular pit fall i've noticed. It will regen the crap out of itself, but god forbid it goes up against a regen list... that game will go to time. Every single time. Corran Horn on the opponents list? It's going to time. Poe with R5-P9? It's going to time. The simple fact is you are paying too many points for regen and not getting enough actual, physical damage against the enemy for it, or even action economy. Poe lacks an EPT. Miranda doesnt have Adv. SLAM or ordnance. Blue Ace doesnt have anything to take additional advantage of his ability. This is a situation where it would be preferable to lose the third regen ship in favor of more points to be spent on upgrades for dice modification and other stuff. All that regen can't help multiple, focus fired hits that you can't stop because you whiffed your attack roll AND your defense roll. So i'd drop Blue Ace for a T-65 with R2-D2, if i'm honest. You can still get 3 regen, but you'll have the points to make your offense or defense better.

Look at that pretty list. All focus for Poe, all the time! And when Kyle is straying too far from the fight, he can just turn around casually instead of taking 2-3 turns to get back to it. Then, Red Ace is dodging, regen and finally when you get him to 1 health, BOOM, Integrated astro.

Garven is there to pass focus to anyone who needs it while still flying an X-Wing, and you have an ultra durable regen ship with a high PS ace with excellent dice modification and reliable regen. A variation is stripping Poe of AT and replacing Garven with Luke and R2 astro.
red ace seems like a worse Poe, basically
not personally holding high hopes for him/her, though plenty of people seem to be doing well with him/her
anyway, regen kinda sucks without additional defensive tech. This is why you'll never see Biggs with r2-d2, and only see PTL Corrans or thruster Poes. Red Ace has the tech to abuse regen, but no real offensive punch nor PS to back it up

Trade Blue Ace for a Rookie Pilot w/ R2-D2 and IA. Put VI and AT on Poe, and Advanced SLAM and Intelligence Agent i guess on Miranda. Poe is now an unstoppable force of nature, Miranda gets better action economy and access to enemy maneuvers, and while the T-65 will die first, it's still a regen ship with IA, and thus will still be very durable while still having an X-Wings firepower.

Yeah but the problem with that becomes that Poe now doesnt have a focus token. Thats not a situation Poe wants to be in, evade token he gets to keep or no. It works for the first round of the game, and then doesnt work ever again. He'd focus round one and get the evade instead, but with his ability and AT, i'm not sure if it's even necessary, and it's definitely not more valuable than Predator would be for him. And when he does spend it, it'd be suicide to give him an evade instead of a focus ever again. And it's not like Red Ace needs it, what with her ability and all.

I only push with him when I need to boost. Then a 1 bank and boost again or a 3 straight generally get me into another good shot or away from the fray. I actually lIke it without the VI because I like to be able to block Han or Soontir to avoid fire when necessary and I don't much mind not out PSing Soontir because I have two other ships to protect Poes flanks if dodgers get close.
I'll give the comm relay a test on Poe for sure, actually considered it already but haven't played it.
The biggest threat to this list is TLT. Best thing you can do there is try to stay close.

I prefer not to take chances. I know that i'm going to use Predator many, many times. I know that VI will allow me flexibility and the ability to shoot first. I cannot count on a game giving Poe enough of a break to replenish his evade supply. That's a waste of 3 points. His ability and AT give a very, very large defensive boost that im not sure comm relay can significantly add to, but it definitely detracts from offensive capability by not having PTL or Predator.

Poe tanks for Kyle, while Kyle keeps Poe's Evade and Focus topped off. I almost gave poe Juke, but felt the ability to draw criticals off the non-regenerator was more important.

Alternatively you can throw Thrusters on Red Ace or maybe Predator or similar on Poe. Not sure about the best way to go there.
