With the birth of the T-70, the T-65 has been replaced. Though, I guess they could add a title card or something that adds the "Tech" upgrade to your upgrade bar calling it something like. Title: T-65B We'll just have to see I guess.

I disagree. Just look at how many people are still in love with the original trilogy over TFA. FFG knows people still want to fly T-65 X-wings. I suspect we will eventually see a title for the ship. It may not happen until 2017, but I think we'll get it.

So on page 60 of the visual dictionary it says the t-70 can have its torpedoe slot removed and replaced with other secondary weapons.

It also says poe's x wing is modified.

So will we see a third product with a t-70?

I think it would really help Bring variety to the resistance faction.

This makes me think we'll see a FA Aces pack with both the Special Forces Tiefo and Poe's X-wing, essentially rounding out the fighters from FA.

FFG must be pretty desperate for ships. I mean, we've already got some truly obscure EU ships 'gracing' the table, they must be casting around for ANYTHING now that is even remotely recognisable as a Star Wars vehicle, so to think they would pass up on things like a Falcon re-release with Rey as pilot, Finn as crew, an old Han with a different ability, a TIE/sf or Poe's orange/black X Wing, to think they'd pass up on ships like that because they're too similar to existing ships (in one case it's just a different paint scheme) is crazy.

Especially considering that, in the past we've already seen repainted ships included in Aces packs.

I'm very confident that in the future we'll see:

Kylo's command shuttle

Poe's X Wing

New Falcon

TIE/sf

Stormtrooper transport

Leia's transport

Quadjumper

And we might see Han's Freighter (the one he captures the Falcon in) as a new Epic ship, although it's more than twice the size of the CR90...

Why would they release Poe's X-wing without Poe, though -- since he's already in the TFA core? Seems silly to provide his ship and not the pilot.

I don't know if cannons on X-Wings would be that good. They already have durability issues. Plus it makes them too similar to B-Wings.

On a side note, I was thinking of a title for Luke, and only luke, to represent him as a full blown jedi. Something like:

FFG had never released a second version of any ship, until they did.

FFG had never allowed the same ship be in two different factions, until they did.

FFG had never allowed the same pilot to pilot two different ships (with the same ability), until they did.

Seems like there is plenty of past behavior of them pushing concepts further and further out.

I'd bet money that FFG will release the black and orange X-Wing, given they will want to release sequel trilogy content and that there isn't much to go off yet. It is a very recognizable colour scheme too.

So the trouble with character paint schemes is players only want one of them. Everything in this game has been designed so you can buy it at least twice and not feel stupid. But this is not really the case with epic ships or the near epic ghost. So I think the ghost package makes the most sense here.

So I could see a pack with Kylo's black shuttle (that shuttle is typically imperial gray and I think it will have its own expansion like that) and poe's Black x-wing and a bunch of unique upgrades and pilot cards along with some greatest hit upgrades like auto thrusters. Charge 50 bucks it's like the ghost expansion but it hits all the unique post movie character content. Even include a new antenna and pilot card for the falcon.

Such a package would be the perfect "second purchase" for players with the TFA starter that the game sorely lacks.

They could also do a pack like this for the original trilogy base set that would be fly as hell.

The fact that Imp Vets includes two different titles for the Defender I'm hoping something as iconic as the actual X-wing gets a similar deal for those "specialized roles."

Maybe we could see a Falcon rerelease with new mold, rey, finn, and all the other pals, along with the black and orange x wing. There won't be as many pilots as the original expansions, but it could work. Sorta like the imp/rebel aces.

They released a ship for a character that was never named on screen, we never saw his ship, and his only film appearance was a three second scene in the Empire Strikes Back as a bounter hunter. In fact, that scene generated what, five or six ships for X Wing?

Poe appears as a named, major character in the new film and flies a visually distinct fighter that actually flies on screen and blows up stuff. If it's a choice between releasing something obscure and visually unidentifiable from the EU, or releasing a repainted T-70, then it's an obvious choice IMO. Same as the Falcon. Sure, it's only a new comms dish on the ship, but given the choice between another obscure EU ship that no one wants, or a re-release of the Falcon with new upgrades and pilots and crew cards, then it's an obvious choice IMO.

Personally, I'd expect the re-painted X Wing and the Falcon to be in a Resistance Aces style pack, that you would probably only buy one of, as opposed to the generic T-70 which you might buy three or four of, and I'd expect there to be another Poe Dameron pilot card in there as well.
