Maximum damage.

So here's a pointless thread where I demonstrate the maximum damage possible given certain conditions (tell me if I miss something or you can do better with a different method):

Maximum damage to a single target from a single attack:

Relevant Setup:

  • Finale of a campaign game
  • heroes are Gaarkhan, Loku, MHD and Saska (composition not endorsed)
  • Gaarkhan has Ferocity, Vicious Strike, Unstoppable and a force pike equiped with a high-impact guard
  • Loku has co-ordinated attack, MHD has adrenal vapor and Saska has power converter
  • Gaarkhan has Power Generator and Weapons Cache (the supply cards)
  • Gaarkhan is wounded and focused and has a device token

Gaarkhan attacks a the boss who has a recon token on them, spends his device token, power generator and weapons cache; power converter, adrenal vapor, co-ordinated attack and vicious strike are all activated.

Basic Roll: RYY

+R for focus with ferocity, +R for co-ordinated attack, +Y for adrenal vapor, and convert one Y to R for power converter

Actual Roll: RRRRYY

Results: 15 Damage, 2 surges (All R rolled 3D, one Y rolled 2D and the other rolled DSS)

Extra Results: 2*+2 D (unstoppable, Power Generator), 3*+1D(weapons cache, set your sights, vicious strike), +1 surge (practical solutions), Pierce 2 (power generator)

Surges Spent on 2*+1D(force pike), +2D(high-impact guard).

The boss rolls a single block on each of their defense dice, this is negated by the pierce.

Total 22 damage

This damage does not take the boss over their maximum health in damage so they suffer all of it.

Maximum total damage from a single attack:

(I don't know nearly all the command cards, any one of them that can be used to add a surge that I haven't mentioned here will improve the damage)

Skimish game

There is a bantha rider completely surrounded by figures with 5 or more health, this requires a 4 player game (and either gross incompetence or conspiracy) for none of the damage to be friendly fire.

Focused rebel saboteur activates smuggled supplies for the extra surge, uses Maxiumum firepower.

Rolls RGY dice

Results: R: 3D, G:DS, Y:DSS

Each surge is used to activate blast 1.

Bantha takes 9 damage

Each of the 14 surrounding figures takes 5 damage

Total Damage: 79.

I'll do other scenarios as I feel like in the future (make a request if you want one).

Except that...

BLAST RRG pg. 7

The Blast keyword appears on some cards. If the target of this
figure’s attack suffers one or more (damage), each figure and
object adjacent to the target space suffers (damage) equal to the Blast
value.

-If the target is a large figure, Blast only affects figures adjacent

to the targeted space and does not affect the target figure.

For a target that is larger than 1 space, you pick one space it occupies for the blast to affect, not all surrounding figures.

That's impressive, but it's actually 26 damage, Pierce 2

Smuggled supplies adding a surge for one shot meaning 5 surges and 5 activations of Blast 1 over two activations? If they got the blast rules wrong, its likely that might have gotten the sabs card wrong and they are thinking that they can trigger blast as many times as there are surges, not just the limit 2 on the sabs' card.

Wild attack would increase this for Skirmish.

A focused Rancor with Wild Attack could probably do a lot lol. That's RRRGG.

Good catch, that aside, the dice only supply 3 surge, and smuggled supplies adds one more. That's only 4 surge

It would require three more sets of circumstances to trigger, but considering the amount of other circumstances already in place what are three more?

So Loku has to have Battle Vision, and have assigned his second recon token to another figure, and that figure is adjacent to the boss.

Additionally, Gaarkhan could also have a turbocharger for an additional +1pic2477003.png, but I think the only thing left he could spend it on is Stun?

None of this matters becase apparently I'm always going to roll the Dodge result on White Die. You know... all the time, because it always comes up.

Even if the boss rolls 2x Black, somehow the dodge will show up.
