They don't mention his age but I'd assume pretty young as the whole series implies she and her husband should retire and raise their son. At the end it implies that they do, and it looks like some of their values and swagger wears off on him.

He's about 32, give or take a year. He was born 2 years before Endor.
I thought he was born shortly after Endor. That being said I didn't understand all of journey to FA. I mean what the hell was with the trees?!

The trees were a bit of a spin off from the OLD EU. But Poe grew up in the shadows of a force sensitive tree, my guess is that this made him slightly more force sensitive explaining why his relations (i.e pilot skills) are much better than normal.
