One of my least favorite parts of the game is a ISD or Mon Cal being worth zero points on 1 hull because you rolled poorly round 6.
Would you support getting half points for ships if they are below half hull (not shields)?

Edited by PlebianI would in a heartbeat.
With or without upgrades?
I had a Vic escape. But it was my fault. I forgot to plan to get it in arc as it escaped and then I failed a shot that was moderately dubious. All my fault.
I would support half the base ship cost without upgrades. But you should be playing so that you for sure get the kills you're supposed to get.
Also I would do this only to huge ships and maybe medium. But definitely not small. Let the small ships take fire and run away. They're supposed to do that.

With. Same as X-Wing.
Take the Opening Salvo objective.
The thing is - unless there are face up cards affecting attacks, that 1 hull MC80 still attacks for full dice until you kill it. I don't think this is a good suggestion.
If you wanted to add half points then you'd have to refactor the whole MOV points table too.

In X-Wing that is fine because a big ship can easily eat up half your points.
In Armada this is highly unlikely to ever be the case. On top of that you have a ship that is required to have a Commander on board so you are penalizing people for taking more expensive commanders.
One of the reasons they implemented such a rule in X-Wing is because they don't have a turn limit. It is all about the kill. I'm Armada this is not the case. It is about the objective, the list, the way it's flown, and how you covered your bases.
Due to X-Wing being about the kill, big ships were able to stay on the table long enough and could not generally repair themselves easily until time was called. No such thing exists in Armada.
I don't approve of this.
The X-wing change was specifically due to MoV fortressing. It's too early to tell, of course, but I don't think any of the medium or large ships have the combination of mobility, durability, and 360-degree firepower that made the Fat Turret metagame possible.

I love opening salvo.
Add this to the list of reasons why Opening Salvo should always be taken/avoided like the plague.
Won't be the last time I'll win as Player 1 against an Imperial Player with an ISD and Opening Salvo as the objective.
I don't really like it. Things die so fast in wave 2 that the difference between victory and defeat is already very small. I like that the current system rewards finishing the job.
I strongly oppose half points! So much of this game is knowing weather you can get away without the repair command and knowing when to disengage to keep ships alive and knowing what can survive an attack and retaliate without giving up points. I feel like x-wing needed the half points rule so people couldn't just run until time is called. The round limit in armada prevents silly amounts of turns spent evading the enemy.
They added it to X-Wing due to point fortress due to short timed game.
In Armada, if you do not completly destroy a ship by 6th turn, it is bad management on your part.
