FFG Editing

By USCGrad90, in X-Wing

I am curious as to how FFG edits and proofs their rules and cards. There are times when they use inconsistent wording or fail to convey good explanations on how rules work that a little proofing should have caught. I understand they have deadlines, but there are some things in the new rules (like Tournament scoring) that makes me wonder.

A good example is the card for Flechette torpedoes. Which is worded differently than all other missiles and torpeodoes. The same result is acheived, but it surprises me that they would come up with different wording when they already have an example to go by.

This is not a huge deal, but had me wondering

They do have editors who are employees or contracted out. They are only human however.

They need to upgrade to Cylons.

They need to upgrade to Cylons.

Original or human-form based?

Wrong universe, they need to upgrade to C3P0 units.

At least not if your name's Gaius Baltar, anyway.

For an advanced cybernetic civilisation, they certainly had a rather obsessive fascination with human squishy bits.

Editing is important. Other things at FFG are importanter. Moar ships!

They were busy last Friday, can you really blame them?
