We can all see the writing on the walls: the Defender is coming in fast and furious and will absolutely make a killing in the field.

Accuracy Corrector and Tractor Beam is a good combo, it ensures that you land a hit.
And Juke further reduces Agility, effectevly to 0.
However, the damage output on this list is minimal, as your B-Wings will do 0 Damage, when they use the tractorbeam and you do nothing to boost the A-Wings Damage output.
The major problem is that you would have to focus on one ship at a time and you don't have the potential to destroy one ship every round, except in range 1.
I like the idea of a Defense Die Negating list, but you have to balance it out with damage to punch through.
Since the chance to land a hit is higher than the chance to evade it, makes a high damage list very feasable, as it negates evades by itself (on the long run)
Yeah, I'm not sure this will cut it. I like the idea though. Considering you don't have to use tractor beam, the damage output might be alright, but I think it will struggle against higher PS defenders who will target the a-wings first and knock their evade token off before they shoot, thus disabling juke...
I like your idea. Bs with AC and Tractor Beams.
Maybe something like this:
26 - Blue - AC/Tractor
24 - Gold Y - TLT/r3-a2/title
24 - Gold Y - TLT
12 - Z-95
12 - Z-95
hits pretty hard, especially when the tractor beam is on. B-wing fires first or use the TLT to strip tokens then blast away.
It's not hard hitting, that's true. And an acc corrector vs three dice and an evade might be hard going. But the second will probably stick, leaving two for each a wing. Maybe take calculation to push a bit more damage through.
I am not a big fan personally of the stress hog. And X7 defenders don't much care about stress anyway. But if it works for you, by all means.
I'd trade Accuracy Correctors for Advanced Sensors any day on a B Wing. You have to get through 3 green dice and an evade token for the Tractor beam to do anything. 2 hits just ain't going to do it.
Advanced sensors though, will let you essentially ignore your reds so you can turn inside of the Defenders. They don't regenerate, so will just be setting up attack runs. Basically it means you've got two options:
1 - Match their speed so they can't stay on your tail
2 - Move hilariously slow so they only ever get one shot on you before overshooting
A wings take care of your #1, B Wings take care of your #2

While I love advanced sensors, your points seem off the mark. It sounds like you have never flown against defenders? Defenders don't necessarily 'set up attack runs'. They could I guess, but it depends on the situation.
Both of your points seem invalidated by a white 4k turn...
it's not going to work
AC T-beams will bounce off of defensive tokens and you're back to square one
you want FCS and loads of dice
as far as we know right now (missing half the card), T-beams are pretty ****
Ions are a pretty good counter to x7 (can't trigger off speed 1) and defenders in general (no joust for you!) as are, funnily enough, homing missile (but the empire has by far the preferred platform in Long Range Scanner bombers, although rebs get Homing Missile Miranda)
What FGD just said. Ion /D defenders are ironically gonna be one of the better counters to x7's IMO. That and ordnance. On Bs it would probably be the classic HLC/FCS setups.
apart from Tie/Ds, we also have the original Thug life (btl-a4 ICT Thugs packing r4s)

While I'll be the first to admit that I don't get to play nearly as often as I'd like, I stand by what I said considering the necessity of the 3 speed maneuvers. I'll concede for now though, as I don't want to use anecdotal evidence & real-world tactics to argue tabletop encounters.
Regarding the Accuracy Corrector vs Advanced Sensors though, I've had plenty of experience and Accuracy Corrector just doesn't cut it. Fire Control System is great though, I'll second combining that with a heavier cannon instead.

I agree about accuracy correctors. Both FCS and advanced sensors are great on b-wings. For different reasons of course
